Conducting Remedial Classes

As a teacher, I need to fulfill the responsibilities of being the second parent to my students. Whatever happens, it is my duties to educate them not just in academic but also in molding the attitudes and characteristics.
In a class, I cannot avoid to encounter students who are really hard headed that shows lack of interest in school which gives me a headache. But the fact that I am a teacher, I need to help them to the best of my abillity to nurture their future.

Today, I conducted a remedial class or let us say, a special class intended for selected students who did not pass my subject due to their low performances in school, absences, and an alarming cutting classes for mostly all of the subjects.
During the remedial class, I give them exercises to answer after explaining the process on how to do it. It’s like having a one on one class in my free time and extended my hands to carry out my duties.

After explaining my two students in Grade 7 on how to answer, they did it and tried to answer. I was so happy seeing them that they cared for their grades and wants to pass my subject. And they promised also that they will strive hard in this quarter and do all the things that they need to do in school.

He is Christian Villamor who got a grade of 69 in my subject but willingly asked me on what he can do to pass.

He is Erwin Lapinid, the top 1 of my stubborn students who got 67 in my subject. But I am glad that he approached and told me he wants to have a remedial class to be able to pass.
With that simple actions, the happiness of a teacher cannot be measured by anything.

”Train up a child in the way he should go (and in keeping with his individual gift or bent), and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”
Proverbs 22:6
