Bible teaching: All who refuse correction will be poor and disgraced; all who accept correction will be praised. Proverbs 13:18

The Bible teaches that there are two attitudes towards God and our neighbor, the fear of God or the hardness of heart. And these spiritual sights are also perceptions of reality, one perception is dominated by compassion and benevolence, that is why the Bible speaks of a heart of flesh, and the other is dominated by fear and distrust. And with clear insistence, the Bible reminds men that this entails different rewards, that is why there is one destiny for the sensible man and another for the foolish man.
And the Book of Proverbs, written by King Solomon, leaves a beautiful teaching about this spiritual question: "All who refuse correction will be poor and disgraced; all who accept correction will be praised" Proverbs 13:18.
And an example of how foolishness brings misfortune, as the saying teaches, was King Ahab of Israel and his wife Jezebel, they rejected all correction from the prophets and did conscientiously and with clear intention everything is evil in the eyes of God as a result this couple had an risky life and a cruel death. Jezebel was murdered by orders of Jehu, king of Israel, and so prophecy of Elijah was fulfilled. And her husband Ahab died agonizing after being wounded by an arrow in battle, ignoring the warnings of the prophet Micaiah who prophesied that he would die.
On the other hand, the Bible shows the destiny of those who accept correction and the fear of God as the path. When King Hezekiah was besieged by King Sennacherib in Jerusalem, he accepted the advice of the prophet Isaiah and was victorious.
These stories, summarized in the quote of the Book of Proverbs, are a demonstration that the ability to make assertive decisions is the key to a happy, long, and prosperous life.
