Bible teaching: For we intend to do what is right not only in the Lord's sight but also in the sight of others

The bible explains that men judge actions, but God perceives the intentions of the heart: "A person may think their own ways are right, but the LORD weighs the heart", Proverbs 21:2; "For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart", Hebrews 4:12.
The kingdom of God is not only a kingdom of mercy or wisdom, it is also a kingdom of a good conscience, that is, good thoughts and good words: "For we intend to do what is right not only in the Lord's sight but also in the sight of others.", 2 Corinthians 8:21.

Paul is talking about doing good with a good conscience, with the right intention, doing the right thing because it is right, not because there is some gain. Do the right thing, with the right goal, and with the right means. The good is uplifting, expansive, diffusive, compassionate. The teaching of good is fundamental to enter the kingdom of God, conversion to faith is the passage from a life full of sins to a life of righteousness.
Righteousness is the definition of good, righteousness is correct judgment and correct action. Correct judgment is the spiritual gift of counsel: listen or perceive with attention, meditate with intuition and inspiration, decide with creativity and discernment. The correct action is the golden rule: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you", Matthew 7:12.
Of good conscience, ("To the pure, all things are pure", Titus 1:15) good love is born, the love of charity, the love projected to the whole creation of God: "Love your neighbor as yourself", Mark 12:31.
