As some of you may know, I love travel and if I could, I will be doing it everyday but I have to set my priorities right. Having a baby on the way and broke from the last holiday means I need to save, basically be cheap.

International travel is what I would prefer doing but in light of the current circumstances I need to find a way to enjoy travel as affordable as possible.

Local weekend getaways are a way to relax, travel and spend time with the family. Ten dollars for gas, set aside fifty dollars for food and you are all set. To save even more, why not make your own food. Sandwiches are great traveling food. Easy, compact, light weight and filling.

Travel is a journey and an experience. Watching landscapes, eating food, meeting new people, going to places you have never been before. It's all about creating priceless memories. There are people that want to experience what you experienced and visit where you've been.

Most people think that travel is about going to exotic, wild or luxurious countries. What they don't realize is that thousands of people are google-ing about their own locale.

The Proposal

Let's talk about our beautiful country, Australia. It's not hard to talk about what you saw and did. Just share a photo that interests you and talk about it.

Let's make Steemit.com top the Google search ranking in Australian travel. This will definitely benefit everyone. Once we rank high in Google search, more traffic will come to Steemit. Maybe even get more users as they see us making a wee bit of money from just writing about our day. Us @teamaustralia, will definitely benefit from more exposure leading to upvotes.

Some of us are already doing this, @tomekkk with his great photography. You don't have to be a photographer, everyone are these days. @travelgirl combines food and travel. @webcoop loves talking about Perth and surrounds. I'm sure there are more of you, make your blogging seen.

You can even recommend travel deals, bargains, travel tips and tricks, pertaining to Australia.

The Execution

SEO, as bloggers, I am pretty sure you have heard of this word before. It stands for Search Engine Optimization. This is what needs to be accomplished to rank high in Google search.

By targeting specific keyword, we can dominate it. I looked up the keyword "travel australia and it's currently being searched one hundred thousand times a month according to Google.

The title should always contain the words "Travel Australia" followed by your own description. For example, "Travel Australia - Darling Harbour, Sydney". Don't spam the keyword though, just write like you normally would. Which is for the readers, not for the search engine. Anyone heard of the Google Panda? We don't want that.

We can also put travelaustralia in the popular tags section by using #travelaustralia.

Other Ways To Benefit

Other than more exposure, upvotes and attracting more users, you can also use affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing is just one of the way bloggers make money. Promote businesses and get rewarded like travel agencies, hotels, airbnb, uber, there are so much more.
