I don't know if you guys have realised how bullshit the news is lately, but I sure have.
What sparked this post is me scrolling 9news.com.au for some decent content to comment on here on Steemit, but I found absolutely nothing interesting at all.
What I did find though was an incredible article congratulating Nicole Kidman on her 50th birthday. Seriously what the actual fuck.

I know some of you aren't aussies, so you won't get it, but even those of us that know who she is probably couldn't care less. I find myself having to really dig deep to find any news about what's going on in the world. Reddit and LiveLeak are now my #1 go to for any news concerning anything I find actually important.
What does this stay about the state of the world?
I believe a huge power shift is coming. No one watches TV anymore, no one trusts the news corporations. Platforms like Steemit allow the people to take back control and inform people what they need to know about.
I just found this video of the US in Syria, I think this is what should be at the top of the news pages, not Nicole fucking Kidman.
