Greetings steemians!
Im finally back to posting in steemit after a two day absence. Apparently ONE particular game caught my interest sooo much that I kinda slipped into a gaming binge. Seriously I was not able to pull myself off the computer for these two days (✖﹏✖).
This is NieR:Automata!
I know this game has been out for awhile but i finally decided to get it last week. I bought it on sale from steam literally 20 minutes left before the sale ended.
It was offered 50% off so i got it for about RM120. At the time it was kinda expensive but after 40 hours clocked in the game i would say it was worth it. It is a GREAT game and i thoroughly enjoyed every moment of playing it.
I regretted not buying it at 75% discount on a previous sale week because of all the negative reviews it got on PC optimization. Though i still had to install the FAR (FIX AUTOMATA RESOLUTION) mod in order for me to be able to play in native fullscreen. Which I really don't mind since it works like a dream.
I cant stress enough how amazing this game is to me. Its been awhile since i picked up a single player JRPG game and im glad i got this one.
I even injured my thumb playing this game because i had to buy a new Xbox one controller.( mouse and keyboard really feels bad for this game )
I have been planning on getting one for a while now and Nier:Automata was the best motivation to get it.
So lets talk about what this game is all about.
So Nier: Automata is set on a post apocalyptic worlds where androids and machines are at war. Androids are fighting for mankind and machines for the aliens.
There are two protaganist in the game from which we will play from their perspective and they are 2B and 9S.
Play the game to find out who is that hot chick on the right (∩▂∩)
The way they weaved the story into the game to me was really interesting. I have played my fair share of RPG and this game got to my top 3 best storyline. ( No.1 is still Bioshock Infinite. Total mindbreak game!)
But i wont tell any spoilers. Just kills the experience for people who havent played it yet.
The gameplay and combat was a little bit hard to get used to and clunky at first.(It was worse when i had to use keyboard and mouse) but in the end it was all about timing your attacks to land and dodge whenever you can.
Though after a while combat can get repetitive and having the same set of combos for each weapons make it kinda dull after awhile.
Though i only had played it on normal mode where you dont have to worry about taking a hit from enemy because you wont die anyway. Maybe when played on hard mode combat might be more challenging and fun.
I also liked how they integrate open world movement with classic JRPG 2D scrolling and fixed camera locations
Now comes my ratings for the game.
Storyline ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Combat ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Graphics ⭐⭐⭐⭐
breaking the 4th wall ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
LOL you will understand what I mean by breaking the 4th wall if you played it.
Anyways this is all for this post. for the people who read this I am glad you are here and hope to see you again next time
