My Trip To Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

in teammalaysia •  7 years ago

This is my first and most certainly not the last trip to KL this year as i journey to a new post in my current employment. To be honest long distance flying is least of my favorite mode of transport, limited movement during the duration of the flight, hard to doze off, legs get's cramp, someone snoring beside you, well..not all the time. Anyway, you can't beat the view at 30'000 feet above land and wonder how small we are in this huge world we live in. So much to see, so much to experience, so much to @steem about and yet we worry a lot on petty little things.

Reached KLIA wait for our luggage, straight to the basement for a Bus ride to KL Sentral. Its the cheapest way to KL as it will only cost you about MYR10 or in todays market at USD2.50. There are other methods like the train at MYR55, taxi's about MYR80, or get a GRAB car at MYR65. Walking is out of the question...lol. A bus ride to KL Sentral is surprisingly comfortable with only an hour ride (depending on the traffic). For those who is not use to it, i strongly recommend you to try it, you won't regret (for light travelers only...those with huge number of luggage's best get a taxi..lol)

Reaching KL Sentral, you will have more option to go to your destination. The most convenient is through the Train stations. It's faster and most of all cheap.

Upon reaching the hotel we were booked in, there was a surprise waiting for us in the room. As i am travelling with a colleague of mine we were given a twin room which means in hotel terms as two separate beds. I just lost for words when we first entered the room an the beds look like this.

I'm not sure what type of bed to call this, as it is two single beds, close to each other, but there was no boundaries like a river or a wall between them...lol. Looking at it, looks like this bed can either be a twin bed or you can just combine the sheets and call it a single king bed..lol. It's just so wrong for two guys to be in this situation...lol. So, we have to live with it and hopefully none of us 'cross the line'...sounds weird right...'crossing the line'...lol!

Next day after a meeting, we get to go around and take some fantastic pictures of KLCC. Standing at 451.9m it is now the 13th tallest building in the world as of 2017. Just for fun if you combine both towers it will be the tallest building in the world at 903.8m which Burj Khalifa is standing at 828m...lol. Standing beside KLCC is just amazing how much man have evolved from living in cave's to building a skyscraper. Eventually one day, we will be living on the moon and beyond.

On the next day, we chilled out at this place called Metro Kitchen which is located around Nu Sentral. We were with one of our colleague and we started drinking from 4pm...yup, at 4pm (there goes my 2018 resolution not to get drunk..lol). We had beers, and some Indian Delicacies which was really spicy, delicuos and mouthwatering (picture unavailable due to hunger...lol).

*Happy faces before hangover...lol

Well, days gone by, it's time to say goodbye. Before leaving we managed to go for a walk at Bukit Bintang. Where famous shopping malls located. Not much time to do shopping though, so we just go and 'look, see, look, see' only..lol.
