The Boiler Room Initiative

The first Boiler Room Initiative was started by @maverickfoo and he encouraged Steemians who are keen to take up the baton to continue organizing Boiler Rooms too.

The Boiler Room Initiative was created to provide a conducive environment for Steemians to gather NOT TO TALK, but to have a little peer pressure to post that awesome content you've been meaning to post. Think of it like a library where students go to study for a major upcoming exam. It's in our nature that when we see your other friends/peers study THAT HARD in the library, it gives u a nudge to do so too.Unless you're like me, who falls asleep everytime at home while studying.

In this Boiler Room Initiative, we want to say NO to Facebook, Youtube, Discord or whatever that is taking your time off from writing.

During the Boiler Room

So what's going to happen when the Boiling is in process?

1. Come prepared with the topics that you want to write. Pick one out of the few selected that you 'feel' for.
2. Spend no more than 25 minutes on final research on the topic you've chosen.
3. Do not pick something NEW to you that need few days of research.
4. When you're done with a post, you can write more!
5. If you need tips on how to generate ideas, you can read 'This Detail GUIDE' by @maverickfoo.

Rules of the Boiler Room

1. Do NOT disturb others when he/she is in the zone.
2. You may nudge a facilitator for help when he/she is free and if you truly need help deciding a life/death situation.
3. Bring your laptop/tablet/mobile or anything else that allows you to draft your posts. Remember to bring power bank and your laptop's power cable.
4. If getting into the zone means listening to some music on your laptop, please bring along your headphones so you don't disturb others. No one wants to listen to your Kid's Chinese New Year songs.
5. You are not bound by the facilitators and may leave at any time you wish. Just say bye to me :)
6. Or you may continue to extend until you're satisfied with your content.

What can we help you with?

The facilitators comprise of experienced Professional Writers, Creatives and Steemit Enthusiasts. All of them are seasoned Steemians and are able to assist you if needed be it in writing or technicalities of Steemit.

FAQs

Q: Who started this Initiative?
A: The BoilerRoom Initiative is started by @bitrocker2020 and @maverickfoo to help Malaysian Steemians produce better quality of contents.

Q: Is the event free?
A: Yes, you just need to pay for your own coffee or meals.

Q: How many people will be there?
A: We are expecting to see 10-15 Steemians.

Q: Can I talk and engage with other Steemians?
A: During the session, keep engaging other Steemians to a minimum, we have amazing events planned for that. The sole purpose of this Boiler Room is to make sure you churn out that great content.

Q: So there's no actual "teaching" during the BoilerRoom, right?
A: Nope, you can have some one-on-one with the volunteering facilitators but the end goal is to get that content of yours out. We have Bootcamps, Masterclasses and 100Degrees workshops for learning.

Q: This is pretty much on written posts, right? What if I want to do photography, art, video etc?
A: We're planning those too, so hold your horses. As we get more volunteer facilitators from different background, we'll have a variety of contents to work on.

Q: If I can't make it for this session, how can I be updated of future ones?
A: You can join our mailing list at www.steemitup.club, or TeamMalaysia's (Epic) Discord Group.

Q: Can I run a BoilerRoom too?
A: Sure, you can. You may approach @maverickfoo for more inquiries.
