Soft drink is a cold drink that is usually sweet, does not contain alcohol and is often sold in bottles or cans.
Taking sugary drinks elevate your blood glucose level and may increase your risk for cardiovascular disease. Over time, your body becomes resistant to insulin leaving you unable to metabolize sugar and resulting in diabetes. Consuming sugary sodas day after day can contribute to the onset of non-insulin dependent diabetes.
Taking soft drinks contribute to excessive weight gain, sodium and caffeine in soft drinks put your heart at risk. Sodium causes you to retain fluid and caffeine elevate your heart rate and blood pressure.
Soft drinks causes dental problems,the bacteria in your mouth thrive on sugar. They feed on it and produce an acid that wears away your teeth enamel causing cavities. You can cut your cavity risk by rinsing your mouth with water immediate after drinking soft drink or sugary content.
