I say that because I no longer believe that those who hold the power and wealth to drive those advances have sufficient moral capacity to understand what they are doing, or the irreversible damage it will likely cause — both to individuals and to society.
Sadly, this has always been the case with technology, but whereas technologies of earlier eras, in spite of their many pernicious and lethal applications also brought us great conveniences, great amusement and highly useful tools - today’s next-gen future technologies that involve brain computer interface (BCI) stand ready to transform the very nature of what constitutes a human.
That is what “transhumanism” is all about … the merger at "real" physical levels of humans and machines.
And in such a contest, which side do you think will ultimately win? It is unquestionable. Technology always wins.
To assume that there exists some kind of "level playing field" between machines and humans, would be a big mistake.
In addition and for the last 40 years, humans have also been under systemic and constant attack at environmental, biological and psychological levels, resulting in a much degraded state of everyday functioning, by that same obsessive control class, who seek to weaken the human constitution.
Make your choices as you will. No one can make them for you, though you can be sure that "they" will do everything in their power to do just that.
If you do not stand up and fight back against these eugenicist assassins, then the game is over.
If you do fight back, then there may be some chance that we can buy some additional time to thwart their transhumanist and anti-human vision for the future.
But I wouldn’t say our chances are doing that are very good, because my guess is that most of the intelligent and "educated" people reading these words, don’t even believe there is a problem there. Right.
