Every new tech that comes along has its' good side as well as its' bad. In my opinion If you have nothing to hide you should be more concerned about who is watching you rather than what is watching. While your reference to the novel 1984 is a reminder that our privacy is becoming more and more intrusive, it was the government behind the AI Tech that controlled the population.
