Thanks, this was exaclty what our office needed. It was easy to set up and product arrived promptly. Happy with this item.
This small appliance did exactly what I needed. It allowed very granular firewall configurations. It is very secure and surprisingly fast. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to run a more advanced home office, where a simple firewall does not meet your needs.
There's plenty of YouTube videos to help you with those one-off questions and the UI is decent to navigate. One thing that I found challenging was getting the cheaper WLAN printers (The one's with no screen on them that can't be configured with a static IP) to be discoverable\communicable by other WLAN hosts. I had to create three different rules in the firewall, and several address objects just to get things working. Maybe I just didn't know what I was doing? The firewall itself is great.

Super fast internet DL and UL speeds. Upgraded from Apple AirPort Extreme. Highly recommend TP-Link router, both hardware and software made in-house!Also highly recommend CAT-8 Ethernet cable to finish the job!
Looks like a prop from Aliens, and also delivery out of this world performance. In use for a little bit over a month now on a gigabit connection, and the speeds on wifi as well as ethernet are outstanding. The WebUI also delivery a solid availability on options and integrated security features.Only downside is the lacking mobile app. The most useful feature, i.e. whitelisting new devices, is not possible from the App, or the mobile webui.
Works great and looks pretty bada$$. However, I had some issues getting it setup in regards to the admin password. Long story short, I had to use the phone app to complete the setup. The instruction pamphlet said you could use either your computer or phone app. I found the phone app was the only thing that worked.Other than that, fantastic. This sits in my basement but the signal is strong throughout my property. I had planned on running Cat6 out to my garage for a smart TV. No need now.
Google Nest WiFi Router – 4x4 AC2200 Mesh Wi-Fi Router with 2200 sq ft Coverage (Renewed)
Top Reviews:
It's working, and I'm hoping it will be in the next 18 to 24 months.
This will be short. I already have a mesh network with three Google WiFi router/access points through-out my small ranch home. They had all been working fine until a rather severe lightning and thunderstorm happened around the end of July and blew-out my primary router that connected to my Spectrum 'cable modem'. I had to remove the primary and take one of the mesh WiFis, reset it to factory and make it the primary. I purchased the Google Nest WiFi Router to replace the entire network because it covered 2,200 sq ft. Unfortunately the Nest router that arrived must not have been factory reset and would not set up properly on Google Home or Google WiFi app. Eventually I'll take the time to locate the factory reset settings for the Nest router and start over but have not wanted to interrupt the household devices and reset all of those as well. I'll probably update this review once I have that accomplished.
worked as advertised. Excellent product
Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 8265 Desktop Kit, 958156

Exactly as described. Arrived faster than they said!
Works great. The cables are bit long for an M.2 key motherinstallation with an I/O plate, but I made it work. The card terminating cables are IPEX/MPH4 with RP-SMA bulkheads and antennas.
Ordered this kit because I wanted shipment from a US warehouse - spent too many weeks waiting for shipments from China - not worth any savings.Needed Intel 8265 card for a Dell laptop. OEM Dell wifi was N-150/2.4GHz - not good given the huge biannual "Updates" Win10 does. Kit was no more than just the card and I'll use the antennas elsewhere.Went with the 8265 as the newer 9560 wouldn't be any faster without upgrading my router too.Luckily, the card on my Dell laptop was under a panel on the bottom. Took 5 mins to swap, fired right up with Win10 stock drivers and logged into my office 5GHz router. Updated to latest driver from Intel website and now getting solid 867Mbps upstairs and surprisingly got 240Mbps to the other 5GHz router on the far end of the house (thru 4 walls & 1 floor) .

OnHub Wireless Router from Google and TP-LINK, Color Blue

I have AT&T fiber. This product came with no instructions just the app for your phone. The app on the phone works great. However, after going through all the steps I was unable to get my router to connect. I made contact with Google. They suggested plugging the Ethernet cord into my Uverse gateway. After reading all other reviews; it appears maybe I'm just doing something wrong. Router works through gateway but not without. The app for my iPhone works great for monitoring my kids devices. I'm able to pause PS4 activities which was my main concern and that works perfectly! I just simply wish I didnt have to use my uverse gateway. I definitely saw an increase in my speed. Fewer drops. I'll definitely come back for a review update after extended use.
I’ve had this WiFi router for six months now. Tired of renting an old modem from my cable provider for $10 a month. Researched consumer reports and found the Google WiFi Router to be one of the best on the market. Everything is controlled by the app. If that’s not you’re thing, you may want to consider another model. One of the best features I was so excited about was the ability tomake schedules for kids’ devices. Devices can automatically have WiFi disconnected at pre-determines times. Unfortunately, this device has a mind of its own. Sometimes the schedules work, other times it doesn’t. Even more, devices will pause at times I have not scheduled them to pause. Tonight was one such example. Also, the app is not very user friendly. It takes some navigating to understand all of the features this thing is capable of. If ease of use and better controls were upgraded, I’d give the Google WiFi Router five stars. Not quite there yet.
I purchased this router as a recommendation from my ISP tech support. My current ISP router is located in the kitchen on one side of a 2 story home. Therefore, the signal on the second floor devices max at 3 bars. So, I decided to try the OnHub. The signal was marginally better on the second floor as the devices went from 3 to 4 bars. The device was somewhat easy to set up using the Google WiFi app. The updates was taking a long time to complete and kept installing for almost an hour although the app said it should take 15 mins. I eventually stopped it and restarted the connection process which went a lot faster. Once the router was active, I disabled the WiFi on the ISP router. Then, I changed the name and password on the OnHub to match what I already had. Once saved, all my devices connected to the OnHub automatically which I liked so I wouldn't have to manually do it. The WiFi app has very limited advance features and it gets even worse if you migrate the setup into the Google Home app. Unfortunately, that migration is irreversible. You can see all devices and change priority. You can't switch between 2.4 & 5Ghz. There were several times my Note 9 was running slow because it was on 2.4Ghz. I had to turn the WiFi on/off for it to reconnect to 5Ghz.I already knew what my speed test #s were with the ISP router so I immediately did a speed test in the Google app and found the results were approx 450Mbps up/down when a few feet away and 350Mbps up/down on the second floor. I have 500/500 internet service. However, when I did a speed test using a different app, the numbers dropped to approx 300Mbps a few feet away and 200Mbps on the second floor which are the same results I would get from the ISP router. I realized the Google app speed test is highly inaccurate and adds more Mbps than it is actually delivering. I ran the test multiple times from different areas around the house and the Google app was always higher which seemed odd.I used the router for about a month to really gauge if it was worth keeping. I didn't have any disconnection issues but I did have some occasional website loading errors due to the DNS server. This happened with websites I use frequently with no problem prior to having the OnHub. I didn't notice anything better/different with speed on my smart devices compared to the ISP router. After doing some additional research, I realized a mesh system may provide better coverage in my home. I think the OnHub may be good for a smaller 1 story home. So, I returned it and will look at mesh WiFi options instead.UPDATE 3/11/2021: I recently found out that the OnHub now has the capability of being a mesh system which it didn't at the time I purchased back in December 2020. I tried the Google WiFi and Deco systems and it didn't work that great. So I purchased four OnHubs to cover my entire home. Two on the ground floor and two on the second. It still gives out a little under half of my 500/500 internet speed. If I'm nearby the router I could get a little above half but now I at least have full signal on the second floor. I also purchased an Ethernet switch to connect multiple devices since the OnHub only has one extra port. All have been working out pretty good.

Fortinet Fwf-30E Fortiwifi-30E Network VPN Security Firewall
Top Reviews:
this is not for your standard home user.If you want to use this for your home you need to understand deeper levels of networking.with that out of the way, the product is fantastic. a bunch of the devices (printer, NAS, security cameras) on my network i do not wish to have ANY contact with the internet. I easily configured them that way.I can use my web domain and my security certificates to securely connect to my network and then access my NAS etc. my old router has the ability to VPN into it, but the levels of security were laughable compared to this product.other devices on my network have various levels of access to the internet but it is highly controlled. I must stress that this blocking/access control behavior is part of the product and DOES NOT need to purchase any of the additional support services.if you want to be able to use the web filtering, antivirus, DNS filtering etc you do need to purchase the reoccurring costs of the support services.the level of logging and details of your network operation, performance and activity is amazing.is this overkill for a home network? probably, but if you have kids, it is much easier to control access to online materials on a device specific manner. you want to block facebook for your kids, but you still want to access facebook? configure your child's device to be the one who cannot access facebook. it logs websites visited so you could better see what your kids are up to etc.
I was very satisfied with this Fortwifi 30e. It has more functions than I need as a home user. I have used the SSL inspection and virus filtration without noticeable delay in viewing content. It is a quite complicate firewall. The graphic user interface (GUI) did help to get started quickly but I needed the command line interface (CLI) to fine tune the firewall. The documentation is ample. Fortigate has officially a handbook and a cookbook. I found some explanations in the handbook not so self-explaining and I had to seek help somewhere. The examples in the cookbook offered useful hints but they were not comprehensive. Fortunately, I could find most answers in the forums of the internet. I have spent one whole week to study the documentation and experiment with the settings in order to make sure that the firewall was properly set.I found Fortiwifi worth spending money and effort on it.
Great for home use and lab
