First time posting, so here is a song I made and a bit about how I got here.

Had a very nice session in my studio with a friend(@iamevilradio) who I haven't seen in years. We shared a few tracks, talked about crypto, politics and music. Had a nice set of jams too! He told me about Steemit and I remembered that I had signed up for an account awhile back, then completely forgotten about it.

Now I am here and having checked out a few of the songs and tracks others have posted, I feel I can contribute valuable content as well.

My name is Ted and I like Techno. I used to like sad indie rock. Even tried to make a lot of it on my guitar in sad indie rock bands. I wanted to write basic songs anyone could connect with, so I did. I focused on song structure and tried to learn what made a good hook. Tried simple and overly complex instrumentation, 3 piece bands to 8 piece bands. Even did a little stint in the local college jazz band. I just never "found my sound" and struggled with finishing or following through with anything, even though I loved everything about making music. I started making sequences on a program called Fruity Loops in 2005, while continuing my mopey guitar trek and unknowingly started laying the groundwork for where I am today. The little beats and loops I was making were never something I took very seriously, even though I made hundreds. Having a healthy appetite for downtempo, edm, and other electronic music in general, I found a lot of inspiration for my tracks and learned a lot about synthesis trying to emulate those sounds. I would show tracks to my indie rock friends and they would be good encouraging friends but also be very obviously not into it. I kept writing mopey songs and doing loops on the side for close to 10 years.

Then I went on a hike with an old friend of mine, we took some LSD in the woods and listened to Stephan Bodzens incredible 2015 Powers of Ten release. The 1st track, Singularity absolutely blew me away. I never knew music could sound like that! I don't think it was just me being high either... OK, it probably was, but we only had this shitty little Bluetooth speaker and I instantly knew; This is the sound I have been looking for. Not just Bodzens signature Moog shredding, but the raw energy, tremendous power and stark beauty of Techno as a genre. Music that truly rewards the most careful listener, blurs the lines of other genres and at it's core, is totally focused on making you dance. The last 3 years have seen me trying my hardest to learn how to produce this kind of music that I love. I spend hours daily crafting the kicks and tweaking the basses and though I am still the complete definition of an amateur, I also know that I have the drive to keep increasing my knowledge and skills. The feedback I have been getting has been getting more and more positive and I feel this is the right time to start just the tiniest bit of self promotion.Having been involved with BTC and crypto in general since 2013, Steemit seems like a great place to start. Thanks for checking it all out, hope you enjoy! I promise I will try to get better at writing words as well, haha!

Hi Thank you for #introducingyourself. Im myself quite new in steemit community but I realized that there are few things you could do to have a better start:
Mostly I invested a little bit in STEEM in order to purchase STEEM POWER and STEEM DOLLARS. Why? Its simply important. Without initial investment it will be very hard for you to build reach here and be noticed.

Im not sure if you ever heard about this site:

Perhaps you know it already :)
If you will reply to this message (that would allow me to believe that we may develop mutual engagement and help each other) then I will follow you and upvote some of your future posts.
Cheers and good luck.
