Italian automaker reveals flying machine
Italdesign unveiled its concept, Pop.Up, at the Geneva Motor Show, a vehicle developed with Airbus that uses artificial intelligence for air and ground transport.
And here is a CNN video detailing the company and its plans to release an electric supercar of which only Five will be built, and this hybrid ground/air vehicle!

Here is a mockup but they are very serious and its being built as we speak! Flying Cars are going to come out and hit us all at once! They will just be another sign of how we are finally living in the future like smartphones ! We will eventually take these flying cars for granted and wont be able to remember a time when we didnt have flying cars! People will wonder how they ever got around without them!
What a great idea! A Pod that can either be dropped onto a wheeled chasis or be picked up by the giant quadcopter!

Why does the wheel chassis get left behind? Weight?
Does that mean the wheel chassis will be shared?
If so, I think this technology is best suited for ride sharing, maybe Uber.
Why not just have the pod and the propellers?
