Pada edisi yang lalu saya sudah membahas apa itu satelit? Dan bagaimana cara kerjanya. Nah pada edisi kali sahabat akan diajak berkenalan dengan GPS dan Google maps. Apa itu GPS dan Google maps?
In the last edition I already discussed what is a satellite? And how it works. Well on the edition of times friends will be invited to get acquainted with GPS and Google maps. What are GPS and Google maps?
GPS (Global Positioning System) adalah sistem untuk menentukan letak di permukaan bumi dengan bantuan penyelarasan sinyal satelit. GPS didesain agar dapat menyediakan posisi secara instan, kecepatan dan informasi waktu di hampir semua tempat di muka bumi, setiap saat dan dalam kondisi cuaca apapun.
GPS (Global Positioning System) is a system for determining the location on the surface of the earth with the help of satellite signal alignment. GPS is designed to provide instant positioning, speed and timing information in almost any place on earth, any time and in any weather conditions.
GPS digunakan untuk menerima sinyal satelit yang dapat digunakan oleh pengguna secara umum melihat kondisi posisi kendaraan, armada ataupun mobil dalam keadaan Real-Time. Aplikasi yang biasa digunakan ojek online (seperti Go Jek, Uber, Ho-Jak, dan Grab) untuk melihat dimana posisi pemesan dan posisi macet. Biasanya mereka menggunakan google maps. Benarkah google maps menggunakan satelit untuk melihat lokasi tersebut?
GPS is used to receive satellite signals that can be used by users in general to see the position condition of vehicles, fleets or cars in a state of Real-Time. Applications commonly used online ojek (like Go Jek, Uber, Ho-Jak, and Grab) to see where the position of the buyer and the position of jams. Usually they use google maps. Is it true that google maps use satellites to see the location?
Google memberikan penjelasan mengenai hal ini, dimana dalam video resminya “google maps for moblile with my location (beta)” memberikan penjelasan bahwa google maps tidak menggunakan satelit. Melainkan hanya menggunakan tower biasa yang mengirimkan sinyal ke hp kita. Mengenai jarak, posisi macet dan sebagainya dihitung berdasarkan jarak (footprints) tidak menggunakan satelit. Sinyal-sinyal yang canggih itu hanya didapatkan dari menara Telkom biasa.
Google provides an explanation of this, which in its official video "google maps for moblile with my location (beta)" gives an explanation that google maps do not use satellites. But just use a regular tower that sends a signal to our phone. Regarding distance, congestion position and so on are calculated based on distance (footprints) not using satellite. These sophisticated signals are only obtained from ordinary Telkom towers.
Persepsi kita saja yang mengatakan google menggunakan GPS dan Satelit. Mengenai peta dari udara dan atap rumah kita yang kelihatan dalam google maps ternyata dibuat menggunakan drone, bukan menggunakan satelit. Karena itu kemudian muncul kelompok-kelompok yang mempertanyakan keberadaan satelit.
Our perception alone says google uses GPS and Satellite. Regarding the map of the air and the roof of our house that is visible in google maps was made using drones instead of using satellites. Because of this, there were groups who questioned the existence of satellites.[]
