It's been a while since companies started using more advanced collaboration tools than classic chat programs like the old Skype. The revolution in this sector came around 2013, when Slack was launched which won the hearts of companies and especially of their employees allowing them to create work groups, to simply exchange documents within the application and to be able to track with simplicity of all exchanges. Google responded quickly with Hangout Chat while Microsoft waited for 2017 to launch its Teams , which immediately stood out for a unique feature that only in Redmond could offer: excellent integration with Office 365.
Microsoft Teams, here is all the news
Security and confidentiality of communications are a key priority for a collaboration tool. According to Microsoft, one of the most requested features by users is the ability to more accurately manage authorizations within a channel, selecting which members have the right to view conversations and content. A feature that has been called Secure Private Channel, currently being tested with some selected customers and which will be available to all by 2019. However, before these channels the Information Barrier should be activated, filters designed to prevent some people within the organization from communicating with each other and exchanging data, a need particularly felt in enterprises that must adhere to particular ethical standards or that must deal with particularly confidential data.
However, most of Microsoft's efforts have focused on improving live meetings with new tools and features. Very interesting is the Live Caption function which adds subtitles during video calls and is useful in different scenarios. Think of the noisy office office or more commonly the lack of language knowledge of some meeting participants.
Excellent the idea of being able to dedicate a video camera to the blackboard that through a process called Intelligent Capture I will acquire images, focus them, zoom in and make them more intelligible.
Teams can also boast a virtual board, shared and modifiable by all the participants and that stands out for the Ink Grab function : just take a photo on a physical blackboard and Ink Grab will analyze and transfer it to the virtual one, ready to be modified .
