What is the correct TV Size for my room? - AV Class No. 1 - Closest viewer

Biggest is not always best!

When buying a TV from your local electronics supplier do not be tempted to buy the most gigantic TV set the sales rep shows you. You have to consider a few important points before swiping your card at the checkout. For this lesson we will look at the closest viewer.

Closest viewer
A good method that I have always used, would be to take the width of the screen and x1. So if the TV was 565mm, then the closest viewer should be no less than 565mm away from the TV. This should closely match your eyes viewing angle of 60 degrees.
