Sheikh Hasina Software Technology Park is going to start work on the possibility of creating employment opportunities for young people of 10 districts of Khulna division. 305 crores of rupees have been spent to build it on 2,322 sq ft of land in Bezpara Shankarpur area of Jessore.
According to Park sources, in this Software Technology Park, other entrepreneurs of Khulna division along with other local and foreign entrepreneurs of IT (IT) sector are also allowed to invest. In the park, there will be various types of work related to software development, freelancing / outsourcing, call centers, information technology research and development or research and development (R & D).
Asked for the information, Jahangir Alam, Project Director of Software Technology Park, Sheikh Hasina told first light that the place has been allotted to 40 IT companies in the country. More than 15 companies have been selected for the allocation of seats. These companies will be allocated the space in phases.
The Software Technology Park is now waiting for the inauguration. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the park in her name on Sunday, through video conferencing from Ganobhaban in Dhaka.
In the meantime, cleanliness work is going on in the technology park. Four companies have started working on computers. Some other companies are doing decorations in allocated places.
On the initiative, chief executive officer of Onyar International Limited (CEO) Shahin Azad said in the first light, 'There are various types of work, including software, games and mobile application development, virtual reality. Currently 53 workers are working in our company. However, in 2016, up to 2 thousand and 2022 will create jobs for five thousand young people in our organization.
Meanwhile, preparations for the inauguration of the park were held on Wednesday in Jessore's Deputy Commissioner's room. Project Director of the Park Jahangir Alam said, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will announce the inauguration of the park through a video conference on Sunday from Ganobhaban in Dhaka. Jessore people will be connected to Prime Minister's program through multimedia projector at Park Auditorium at 11pm.
Deputy Commissioner Ashraf Uddin presided over the preparatory meeting. The representatives of various government offices, including electricity, telephone department, spoke on the occasion.
During the inauguration of the Jessore Science and Technology University campus on December 27, 2010, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina here announced a world-class IT park. Accordingly, construction of IT Park began in February 2013 in Bezpara Shankarpur area of Jessore.
Survey engineer of the project Abdullah Al Mamun said that this park has a 15-storey building, 5-star residential building or 12-storey residential building with modern amenities. There is a provision of underground parking with modern convention center. Considering the needs of foreign entrepreneurs, the 11th floor of the housing complex has been built in international standard gym. All the buildings have been constructed in earthquake resistant composite (steel and concrete) structures. The amount of space on each floor is 14 thousand square feet.
It has 33 KVA power substrations, fiber optic internet lines and other utility services or utility services. It is believed that this park will directly and indirectly generate income of 12 thousand people.
A job fair was held on October 5 in this software park. It took 30 technical institutes to participate. To them, 33,000 unemployed youths in the region submitted their biographies.
