In an Apple store in Switzerland, the store under the fumes was emptied as a result of the ignition of the iPhone battery.

At an Apple Store in Zurich, Switzerland, a battery of an overheated iPhone has been ignited. As a result of this situation, nearly 50 staff and customers in the store were taken out. A shop worker was treated for burns in his body. Seven of the customers in the store were subjected to some treatments stating that they were affected by the smoke.

The Zurich police investigating the situation stated that the first intervention staff made the right decision by opening the vent to release the smoke. The resulting fire is information that is said to have been extinguished by workers in a controlled manner without the need for firefighters to arrive. Police and forensic specialists are investigating what causes the battery to overheat. At the same time, the store was re-opened to its customers shortly after the events ended.
