Austrian chipmaker AMS says, we are open for any deals as the company is looking for more acquisitions. This company is making an excellent growth in the field of sensors used in phones, automobiles and industrial gear. Chief Executive of AMS Alexander Everke said, we are ready to take on anything to accelerate growth and no limit in terms of business size.
As per the CEO of the company, we do not want to limit ourselves in mobile phone technology as we are looking out for other emerging applications also. Just an example of our focus in the automotive sector is the facial technology to recognize cars. So basically we are looking for technology not revenue.
Last week AMS has purchased Swiss facial recognition software company KeyLemon. This company has reported tenfold rise in quarterly profit after the hot demand of sensors that are being used in smartphones like Apple iPhones. Talking further about his goals, he said we are thinking of putting facial recognition in every taxi in China to recognize the driver and passengers. As the momentum of both hardware and software companies is moving towards this technology, we are very confident to gain good market share in coming weeks.
