My experience with buying a Windows key from eBay

Do you love being fucked in the ass in form of being ripped off? - Me neither.

Today, on 6th of January, 2018 I opened up my computer's desktop and got a not-so-nice surprise: my background image was gone and a "This copy of Windows is not genuine" watermark in its corner. First I thought a program on my computer was bugged and caused this to happen but after trying to re-enter my product key, getting an error about it not being valid and some research later I figured out that apparently my product key has been blacklisted by Microsoft. Common reason behind it is the source of the product key which in my case, was eBay. Turned out my key's seller was getting their keys from a "shady" source and then resold them on eBay for about 3 pounds. Microsoft hunted them down at some point for not being their partner as a reseller of Microsoft product, shut down their eBay account and blacklisted every key they had sold. And now I am sitting here, writing and recording about this and cursing in my mind about not being able to get a refund because I bought my key exactly 3 months ago. Do I recommend anyone to buy a key from eBay for a PC that's for daily usage? - No. Why? - Read this again.
