Based on data from the Ministry of Communication and Infromatika (Kominfo) of the Republic of Indonesia, the number of 2G subscribers in Indonesia is still about 30 percent of the total network operator of the country. It indicates that the 2G network can not be removed. But the government plans to close the network after 5G was born. Vice President of Network Solutions Ericsson Indonesia Ronni Nurmal said the 2G network is predicted to be extinct after 5G began to be implemented in a mature. "There is potential to be eliminated, but in the next few days the user is decreasing," continued Ronni. Second generation or 2G networks have been implemented more than 20 years ago. Its existence may be lost along with technological developments. The death of 2G will not be straightforward but slowly because mobile users will start to emulate to a much more sophisticated technology. When there is a technology that is much more qualified and able to provide more services, consumers will definitely choose the technology. Currently, the use of 4G in the country is still not evenly distributed. This can be due to many factors, one of which is the equitable distribution of devices and networks. But when technology above 4G has been implemented, people will slowly change their needs for communication.
