in techreview •  8 years ago

The standard hybrid car is an old version of plug-in hybrid car. When standard hybrid cars were first introduced in the market, people were overjoyed by knowing the fact that they now can own a car, and maintain it very easily. This car became very popular within no time, because of its eco-friendly characteristics, and fuel efficiency.

Standard hybrid cars are cheaper than plug-in hybrid car, because the batteries, which are primary source of powering a plug-in hybrid car, are very expensive. In terms of fuel efficiency, both cars are very different. The average mileage of a hybrid car is 30+ mpg, whereas plug-in hybrids claim to make it 100+ mpg.
Gasoline is the main source of emission of dangerous gases from a car, and because plug-in hybrid cars rarely use gasoline, we can say that these cars are the next generation cause that will save us from green house effect. On the other hand, a standard hybrid car uses bio-fuels or gasoline, which is very dangerous to the environment.
