The executive director of Tesla sent an email to his employees to inform them about the discovery of a saboteur, which would have leaked confidential information.
During the night of last Sunday, Elon Musk sent an email to all Tesla personnel to warn about the discovery of a sabotage to the company's production line. According to the executive, the sabotage was carried out by one of the employees, who directly made changes to the operating system that controls the manufacture of the vehicles and also shared a large amount of confidential information to destinations that remain unknown for the time being.
I got discouraged this weekend when I learned that a Tesla employee carried out a large and damaging sabotage in our operations. This included making code changes to the Tesla manufacturing operating system with fake user names and exporting large amounts of highly confidential data to unknown third parties.
Musk points out that the motivations of the saboteur are still not entirely clear, but the same employee, whose name has not been revealed, said that he took these actions as revenge for not having achieved a salary increase. The Tesla executive has made it clear that the sabotage has been quite large and harmful to the company.
Elon Musk took the message to remind his employees that there are many organizations with the intention of seeing Tesla die, including Wall Street vendors who have lost millions of dollars and who will continue to lose more due to the initiatives of the Californian company. He also mentions the companies dedicated to oil and gas, which he describes as the richest industry in the world, and highlights:
They do not like the idea that tesla advances in the progress of solar energy and electric cars

The director encouraged his people to remain alert to any abnormal situation they might observe, especially when, as he thinks, the employee did not act alone in the sabotage. For this reason, he asks his collaborators to send an email to the company in case of seeing or suspecting something and ensures that, if they do, he will keep his name completely anonymous.
To finish, Musk encouraged his employees for the important week that is approaching, where they will increase the production of the Model 3 to 5,000 units per week. Interestingly, hours after sending this mail to their employees, there was a minor fire at the factory in Fremont, California, where fortunately no serious damage has been reported.
Due to this fact, the director sent another email describing the events as something "difficult to explain" and culminating with a phrase from Andy Grove, one of Intel's brightest men.
