The cars without driver could still take some years to become reality, but in 2018 the level of automation of the cars will accelerate quickly.

But this level of automation still depends on human intervention when conditions change or problems arise.
Direct Line, an auto insurance company in Great Britain, will offer a discount for those who use autopilot technology on some Tesla models. Its intention is to gather information about the use of this technology.

I feel like we are kinda skipping a crusial step here. By that i mean, i have a lot of ideas on how to improve on vehichles in every single way but we are trying to jump straight into auto pilot before we correct major errors in the way our transportation performs.

I just cant help but feel like Elon is marketing a $200,000 souped up golf cart that that just follows the indentions wore down into the highway from years of travel lol my car can stay on track without touching the wheel, its just an unsettling feeling driving with no hands
