I'm not sure why I put off watching the Korean series Save Me for so long. I had thought it was some teenage series but in fact it is anything but. It is a psychological thriller based on cults and corruption.
The recent shows I caught have all featured very strong characters who are able to get their way at will. Save Me is completely the opposite and at times can be frustrating to watch but it makes it all the more realistic.
I'm about halfway through the series and i'm guessing how this is going to end. Given the track record of Korean shows, it could be good or bad. Unlike Hollywood which tries to wrap up with a good ending usually, Korean shows aren't afraid to go with an unfavorable ending.
The cast for the show is huge too. So many recognizable faces that even some of the big actresses have been relegated to supporting roles.
Can't wait to watch more tomorrow!
