E' partito in Antartide il progetto più ambizioso di sempre per ricostruire la storia del clima: si chiama Beyond Epica-Oldest Ice e punta a raccogliere e analizzare campioni di ghiaccio antichissimi per ricostruire la storia delle temperature nell'ultimo milione e mezzo di anni
