Hi, everybody there is a kind of bean which is named stink bean, bitter bean, smelly bean, petai, twisted cluster bean or in Thai we called it sataw (สะตอ). It’s popular in Southeast Asia and mostly in Southern of Thailand. The bean grows by hanging from a tree, height up to 30 meter. It is consumed either raw or cooked, we use beans to cook especailly for dipping with chili paste or stir fried. It has strong smell and full of taste, it contains minerals and vitamins such as protein, fat, zinc, and carbohydrate.

Pad sataw (ผัดสะตอ) Thai people used to cook with pork or shrimp for this dish I fried with shrimp paste, chili, shrimp, fish sauce, oyster sauce and 1/2 teaspoon of sugar. For better taste should eat together with hot steam rice.
