Day One - Introduction

WIN_20180101_11_04_29_Pro.jpgA 365 day writing challenge. On gratitude.

Thanks every day. For the full year.

Sick days, and tired ones. Mom struggles, and life lessons aside ... there will be thanks.

I have, for the last few years, written endless challenges. Prompted or unprompted. On thanks. On MomLife. On hurt and heart ache. On anything. I have written without apology. Without shame. I have written openly and obtusely and I will not be stopping that any time soon ...

But now, today, I start something bigger. Something new.

Something unabashed, unapologetic, unfiltered ;) (ok so maybe not that new for me)

Every day, there are so many things to be thankful for. Sometimes it seems like you have to trudge through a lot of sludge and shit to find those things, but I can guarantee they are there.

In my darkest moments, I say thank you. From the most painful experiences, I have gained gratitude and come out the other side smiling wide! Just because things are tough, doesn't mean they are not hopeful. Just because something hurts, doesn't mean there can't be growth through the pain.

And from hope and growth comes endless possibility.

So here I sit, January 1st, 2018 ...

A Monday.

New week, new month, new year....

Same old me!

With thanks in my heart for all that came before this moment, as it added up to putting me here. And here ... is beautiful and exactly where I am meant to and want to be.

There is no place in theUniverse that could be better for me!

Than here.

Exactly as it all has been, it all was meant to be.
