No other person in human history has had such great detail given concerning his birth, life, death and RESURRECTION! If you as a person came into the world by prophetic word (highly unlikely) your story would surely be one of life and then death and no more…not the case with Gods Holy Son the Messiah…He raised from the DEAD! This one fact separates Him from all other human ever born! Of all Biblical Prophecy there is no more important events than that of Jesus Christ FIRST Coming. As John the Baptist stated, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world”. John 1:29. Without Christ Jesus First Coming, there would be NO Salvation, NO Forgiveness of Sin, No Reconciliation between God and mankind…NO other EVENT in all of History has GREATER Significance that JESUS, Son of David and Son of God coming to earth to DIE on the CROSS for your and my SINS and RAISING to LIFE of the THIRD DAY!

Let me us look at some of the Key Prophecies of Jesus First Coming and then the Scriptures that validate their exact Fulfillment.

• The Messiah’s Birthplace Bethlehem: Micah 5:2 and Matt. 2:1
• The Messiah’s Virgin Birth: Isaiah 7:14 and Matt. 1:20-23
• The Messiah would come from the Tribe of Judah: Gen. 49:10 and Luke 3:23-33
• The Messiah would be God Himself: Isa. 9:19 and Matt. 1:23
• The Messiah a descendant of King David: Isa. 11:1, Jer. 23:5 and Matt.1:1
• Moses prophesied Messiah would be a Prophet: Deut. 18:15 and Act 7:37; John 6:14
• The Messiah would come out of Egypt: Hos. 11:1 and Matt. 2:14-15
• The Messiah would be rejected: Isa. 53:3 and John 1:11
• The Messiah would be betrayed by a friend: Ps. 41:9 and Mark 4:10
• The Messiah would be betrayed for 30 pieces of silver: Zech. 11:12 and Matt. 26:14-15
• The Betrayal price would be used to purchase a potter’s field: Zech. 11:13 and Matt. 27:5-7
• The Messiah would ride into Jerusalem on a donkey: Zech. 9:9 and John 12:13-14
• The Messiah would appear and be cut off before Jerusalem would be destroyed: Dan. 9:26 Jesus died around 33 AD and Jerusalem and the Temple destroyed in 70 AD by the Romans.

• Jesus the Messiah fulfilled at least 29 prophecies in the 24 hours leading up to His death.
• The Messiah would be crucified: Ps. 22:16 and Luke 23:33, John 20:27
• The Messiah would be beaten with strips: Isa. 53:5 and Matt. 27:26
• The Messiah would die with the wicked: Isa. 53:12 and Matt. 27:38
• The Messiah would be given vinegar to drink: Ps. 69:21 and John 19:29
• The Messiah would be pierced with a spear: Zech. 12:10 and John 19:34
• The Messiah would have no broken bones: Ps. 34:20 and John 19:32-33, 36
• Men would gamble for the Messiah’s clothes: Ps. 22:18 and Mark 15:24
• The Messiah would be buried in a rich man’s tomb: Isa. 53:9 and Matt. 27:57-60
• The Messiah would be resurrected from the dead: Ps. 16:10 and Luke 24:4-6
• The Messiah would ascend into the sky: Ps. 68:18 and Acts 1:9

I will restate, “No other person in human history has had such great detail given concerning his birth, life, death and RESURRECTION!” Christ Jesus' FIRST COMING should convince you Why Bible Prophecy Matters! There are dozen more prophecies concerning Jesus the Messiah’s first coming that we did not cover…just know that when something is important from God’s eternal plans He gives us lots of warning.
