The yin and the yang (standard Chinese 陰 | 陽 yīnyáng 'dark-bright') are two concepts of Taoism, which are used to represent or refer to the duality that this philosophy attributes to everything existing in the universe. It describes the two opposing and complementary fundamental forces, which are found in all things. Yin is the feminine principle, the earth, darkness, passivity and absorption. The yang is the masculine principle, the sky, the light, the activity and the penetration.
According to this idea, each being, object or thought has a complement that depends on its existence and which in turn exists within itself. From this it follows that nothing exists in a pure state, nor in absolute stillness, but in a continuous transformation. In addition, any idea can be seen as its opposite if it is looked at from another point of view.
In one of my trips of adventures and mysteries, I met a person who taught me this concept in the most practical way, we are so but so different, but at the same time, I can say that we are yin and yang. We are attracted with an inexplicable force, polar opposites but with the same direction, the gear that puts to work all a complete machinery ... and here we continue our way fighting and reaching our goals
that's what life is about, finding balance and peace. what a good post!
