¡Hey! 👋 ¿Que tál gente de Steemit? Mi nombre es Leonardo Castillo, pero acá me verán como leo-audio.

Soy licenciado en música mención productor musical e ingeniero de sonido. Llevo aproximadamente 11 años en la música y 9 en la ingeniería de sonido, inicié tocando guitarra, pero cuando llegó el momento de investigar que debía hacer para grabarme y sonar como los músicos exitosos conseguí mi otra pasión.

Una vez tenía las grabaciones empecé a preguntarme por qué no podía sonar como las canciones originales a pesar de tocar lo mismo que las bandas tocaban, al investigar me di cuenta de lo amplio que era el mundo del audio. Tuve que aprender gracias a internet cuales eran las herramientas, ecualizadores, compresores y otra cantidad opciones para modificar el sonido y hacer que sonara más parecido a las canciones que tocaba. Con el tiempo empecé a agregar otros instrumentos como bajo y batería, con el fin de hacer full band covers y no solo covers de guitarra.

Unos años después llegó la hora de decidir qué quería estudiar en la universidad, después de mucho pensar me di cuenta que lo que me hacía feliz era la música, no quería pasar el resto de mi vida haciendo algo que me diera dinero, pero nada de felicidad, en ese momento inicie mi licenciatura.

Desde entonces, mi día a día se basa en grabación, mezcla y master de música. He logrado trabajar en distintos estudios de grabación profesional en mi ciudad -Caracas- y también he trabajado en vivo en una cantidad de shows musicales en distintas locaciones.

I have a music degree with a major in music production and sound engineering. I have been in music for about 11 years and sound engineering for 9. I started playing guitar, but when the time came to investigate what I should do to record myself and sound like successful musicians I found my other passion.

Once I had the recordings I began to wonder why I couldn't sound like the original songs despite playing the same thing the bands played, as I researched I realized how wide the world of audio was. I had to learn through the internet what the tools were, equalizers, compressors and other options to modify the sound and make it sound more like the songs I was playing. Over time I started adding other instruments like bass and drums, in order to make full band covers and not just guitar covers.

A few years later it was time to decide what I wanted to study in college, after much thought I realized that what made me happy was music, I didn't want to spend the rest of my life doing something that would give me money, but no happiness, at that time I started my degree.

Since then, my day to day life is based on recording, mixing and mastering music. I have managed to work in different professional recording studios in my city -Caracas- and I have also worked live in a number of musical shows in different locations.
