Witness the Birth of the First-Ever Steem-Related EDM Radio Show: The Dancing Dreamers with DJ Damashii! Tune in on MSP Waves Radio Tonight!

Well folks, it was bound to happen sooner or later...but I am officially the newest DJ on the block within the @MSP-Waves family! This is a new Steem adventure I'm embarking on, and I am so excited to be venturing onto the radio waves for my very own 2-hour show!

I've never done this before, so the whole thing will be a learning experience for me as I go along. I hope you will all come along for the ride! It's definitely going to be a wild one..

What is The Dancing Dreamers with DJ Damashii?

The Dancing Dreamers with DJ Damashii is the first Steem blockchain-related radio show that focuses solely on the Electronic Dance Music culture and lifestyle.

The goal is to shine a light on the true significance of EDM and really highlight the human face of the EDM scene, to combat this popularized stereotype that we are all just a bunch of irresponsible kids trying to escape from the problems of the “real world” for a few hours.

The show will discuss the deeper spiritual and philosophical themes and ideas that underlie the entire EDM culture and dig deep into how Electronic Dance Music connects us to a time in the distant history of mankind, when we were connected to each other and unified through tribal gatherings, sharing our dreams with each other and working together to make them a reality.

In keeping with the show’s name, The Dancing Dreamers will also feature Steemians who attend EDM festivals and events, and discuss their experiences there, as well as their hopes and dreams.

A wide array of Electronic Dance Music will also be played throughout the show, both “mainstream” tracks and original tracks by musicians who are on the Steem blockchain. If scheduling permits, EDM artists on the blockchain will also be featured on the show, where they will have a chance to talk about their music and share their stories with listeners.

I also plan on talking to people who are organizers of EDM events in their respective communities, and discussing their efforts to keep the scene alive and thriving on the local and underground level.

For tonight's show, the first hour will be me introducing the show and talking about my personal story as I've moved through the EDM world over the years, as well as my personal understanding of the main tenets of the EDM culture: PLUR, or Peace, Love, Unity, and Respect. There will also be music involved!

Then in the second hour, I will bring on my first guest ever, the amazing writer and dreamer we all know on the blockchain as the @cynicaloptimist. He is a local community organizer and uniter out here in the Salt Lake City area who has big dreams and hopes for the future of the world and does everything he can to try to make those dreams a reality.

I first met him at one of the events that he had organized at a local coffee shop, and he talked about this underground rave that he was throwing, so I gave it a shot and went to it. That was when I first saw one of his visions becoming a reality, and I realized I was fully on board with his dreams. He is a very intellectual human being with an inspiring vision for the world, and I hope you will tune in to hear him possibly talk about some of that vision with me tonight!

I want to take this time to thank several people who made this possible for me. First of all, I'd like to thank @aggroed for establishing the @MinnowSupport Project. Without such an amazing community, I never would have found my idea of success on Steem, and I never would have met the people who would lead me to even seriously consider hosting my own radio show.

I'd also like to thank @ma1neevent and @poeticsnake, who had me on their radio show in my second week on Steemit. That was my first time being on the air in my adult life, and they made me feel comfortable and supported me all the way when I was a guest on their show.

A huge thank you also goes out to @r0nd0n for watching my test broadcast recording and walking me through all the technical difficulties I was having at first. I would never have cleared Gate 4 if you hadn't stepped in and told me my stream was having issues!

Thank you as well to @globocop for being so supportive of me and my show concept, and for welcoming me so warmly into the @MSP-Waves family. I am so excited to embark on this new adventure in my Steem career!

And of course, a huge thank you to all of my friends that I've made since being on this life-changing platform.
