Hi family,is another beautiful friday here in Ghana and i hope everyone here is having good day.I am here to give a bit Education on GALAMSEY in my country Ghana as everyone knows how this GALAMSEY is effecting our mother Ghana.

In fighting against Galamsey, one must take time to analyze the negatives and positives it comes with as a lot of people in this country dont know.

I think no man can stand in public and request the freedom to kill fellow human beings or to practice armed robbery as a means of daily bread meet because clearly we all have to come conclude that it isn't right and so those who do it don't even want their relatives to know that they are into it and can cause them to end in prison.

The case with Galamsey is different. The areas where it is done say if you don't allow us to do it, we will vote against you( evidence in 2016 election). A government should always do what it's people like and manage it's negatives.
TAKE LOOK AT THIS QUESTIONS

  1. Can money from Galamsey clean/filter the water bodies they destroy?

  2. Can money from Galamsey reclaim the lands they degrade?

  3. Does Galamsey provide jobs?

  4. Does Galamsey has economic benefit?

If the answers to those 4 question are yes, then our leaders are only being lazy to think and respect laws.
If any leader or politician is involved in this GALAMSEY should be exposed and bring to justice and other can stop this illegal mining in this our mother land Ghana.

            DOES MERCURY POLLUTE WATER BODIES

NB:Whoever said Galamseyers use mercury to pollute water bodies is being ignorant.

Mercury is very expensive.
It is reusable.
It is applied at the last stage of extracting gold.
Most miners take the last ore to their homes and apply the mercury.
Mercury does not react with water.
It only react with the gold ore.
The reminder is picked back into a bottle for future use.
The only time mercury is released into the environment by galamsayers is at the refinery base.
These guys at the base cover their nose and mouth before burning the mercury.

Lets help to stop GALAMSEY is killing our next generation.
I LOVE MOTHER GHANA
Let's rebrand mining for our poor country
