Good morning to all steemit members!
It’s been a busy day for me today as early as I woke up, I immediately checked our mini garden for I forgot to watered them last night since I got home from work late yesterday. Inspecting their growth, the bitter melon started crawling and the capsicum are growing a little bit faster than I thought.
BITTER MELON or GOURD
I uploaded this picture to my Facebook account and when my relatives saw it they told me to cook it with mung beans the way I’m thinking too but we don’t have any mung beans stock available so I have to order first thru online or go exactly to the nearest Philippine food store.
CAPSICUM
I bought a red and yellow capsicum before then I separated their seeds just to germicides in a closed lid container and planted it when roots appeared. Now, they are lined up in this soil space of our place and hoping to harvest red and yellow capsicum for our salad and other dishes in the coming days to come.
BOK CHOY
This bok choy leaves were still baby but I’m happy that by taking care of it they will grow into a healthy vegetable for I thought it will not survive the strong heat of summer these days.
BELL PEPPER
The flowers of this bell pepper plant started blooming so little yet but in a few days of blossoming a bud fruit will emerge.
Bell pepper leaves can also be eaten with dishes like “ Tinola” or chicken pot soup. A very popular everyday dish we Filipinos eat together with bell pepper leaves and papaya unripe fruits. So healthy and delicious!
This is an old picture of Tinola with Horenso (spinach), Tofu (soybean curd) and Enokitake Mushrooms (long and white mushrooms) I cooked. This is my japan pilipino dish version since there is no unripe papaya or pepper leaves available here, I just replaced them with the vegetables available at the market place. So good and yummy too! I’m starting to crave again by looking at this photo. 😋
