"God gives and takes away.” No He doesn't! God is not responsible for the afflictions people go through. When Jesus came to earth, He made nobody sick; He healed people, both good and bad, that shows how good God is to humanity. If you must blame someone for the afflictions people go through, blame the devil. Satan is the thief. (see Acts 10:38). God only gives, and every good and perfect gift is from God. ( see James 1:17)
