Best Breville the Juice Fountain Cold Plus 2021

For the past few weeks, I have been juicing. The practice dates back many years in my life, but it's been a while since I've done any juicing. In fact, when last I did [see: Introduction], I was using an older centrifugal type machine from Black & Decker [Black & Decker CJ625]. I was very pleased with how it worked, but when my wife and I moved a year ago [see: Introduction] we gave it to a friend because the motor died after so many years. However, in doing so we promised them that they would not have to buy a new one for 10 years or maybe more, if ever.

Breville JE98XL Juice Fountain Plus:

We've been the proud owners of a Breville JE98XL Juice Fountain Plus for about a month now. It seems most appropriate that with Lent fast approaching - and even Ash Wednesday just passed ! - I should write something up on my new toy, especially since lately I've had to do some serious exercising and dieting (i.e., counting calories).

My wife and I have been wanting a juicer for a long time now, but we weren't able to find one that was quite up to our standard. In fact, it wasn't until my mom bought a Breville Juice Fountain Multi-Speed for herself last year (she's into making smoothies) that we came across the model we eventually purchased, and it became apparent that we should go with a Breville.

The design of the machine is very sleek and simple (not that you'll end up looking at it much) - in fact, I think the only flashy thing about it is the color scheme (and even it's not super flashy). It looks like something Apple would release, and it's small enough to sit on a countertop without clashing with the decor. It does take up some space, though - about as much as a bread maker or something of that sort would.

As far as features go, it has one speed... but I was fine with that because I didn't want something with a bunch of unnecessary bells and whistles.

husband said it's very easy to take apart, clean, and put back together again. He also likes the push-in pulp spout that goes into the trash can or compost bin (if you're into that).

I like that this model comes with a 1 year warranty - if something goes wrong within the first year, you're good to go.

I had a few lemons and limes, some apples that needed using up, a cucumber that didn't look too firm any more... I threw those in there with water and ice cubes from my freezer compartment. If you have super hard water, it might be useful to add a bit of vinegar. But if you don't know what your water is like or whether or not it would be helpful to use vinegar as a cleaner, just stick with the purified stuff.

And then hit the juice button:

After having used this juicer for a few weeks now, I can definitely say that it's easy to clean up afterwards (just rinse off all the pieces).
