Are you living in The Matrix? New scientific theories are suggesting that you may be.
The Simulation Hypothesis, first published by Oxford philosopher/physicist Nick Bostrom, speculates that in the future, our descendants could create computer simulations that would be indistinguishable from reality, and that we may be living in that simulation.
This video is a very high-level overview of the Simulation Hypothesis, here are some links that go much deeper:

What about thinking about it not like simulation, but like sandbox.
Imagine, that we are born on this beautiful planet to earn experience. To try feelings like happiness, sadness... Try to think about it like computer game. Until you start, you choose your charakter and when you start the game, you will forget your past. You will remember it, after end play, after your dead. Than you will laughting, because you will imagine, that it was a game... and you will want to play again, with different character, different start conditions.
What is your opinion on this theory?
