I am not a cynic nor a Pollyanna. But what the heck drives people to behave immoral, selfish and greedy? Does a narcissistic sociopath look in the mirror and say "oh man what a monster I am!"? What would Trump or Putin say? If society has lost its common sense and if basic knowledge is being made more difficult than it has to be and we find ourselves scratching our heads or if the hairs on the back of our necks are standing up, something fishy is going on. I don't want to be the community killjoy or a negative member of any culture but considering the history of mankind and the state of affairs in our global society, some things appear too good to be true. I have yet to meet a king who has a properly healthy ego, is fair minded and has intentions of sharing the wealth and instilling the value of equality in his kingdom. That being said I'm weary of learning new things, probably because I am of the age that there is nothing new under the sun and because I have been around the block, and the world, a half dozen times. The only thing that renews my faith in the world is the ocean, the mountains, the forest. Money can get us diamonds and the best seat in the house but it cannot buy love, trust or security. Needless to say I have not yet caught the Steemit fever or addiction and I am allergic to Kool-Aid. And speaking of cool, the people who rise to the top are too often sociopaths who make grandiose proclamations of changing the world and making it a better place. I've got nothing to lose so saying what I really think or sharing what I have seen and experienced is not a big stretch for me. I don't have stars in my eyes and I'm not blinded by the light or by trendy cocktails. ... What is the Steemit manifesto and philosophy?
