Today's blog was occupying my mind starting about an hour ago after my usual click through the newest content and items from the lovely people I follow. I read @surfermarly s post on Vitamin Sea and responded with a comment and a few links that could suggest why she's loving life and the Sea so much.

I then thought, yes! 'Earthing!' Something I'd like to blog about! I'll just do a quick check on the search and... oh crap, it's already been done ☹️ Back to the drawing board... or maybe not....
I read the bloggers post and was impressed.

They'd done a good job so I upvoted and wrote a comment and then went to make a coffee with thoughts of what else I could write about(thoughts which included, should I shave today, and ahh crap we're out of eggs...). Fortunately, on returning to my machine I had a pleasant surprise and it is the reason for my blog today.
I'd received a swift reply, thanking me for my comments and the fact that I'd taken the time to look through some of steemits 'older' (but certainly not of lesser quality) posts and I was upvoted to boot. We exchanged messages regarding sheep(! upvoted!), and the 'resteem' button(upvoted again) and before long, the conversation had made me laugh, learn stuff, and boost my MVEST steemy type things as well. As a relative newcomer to steem, I'd guess that these conversations proved way more prosperous and efficient then me chucking out repeat content which is sitting in pristine condition within the steem archives. Think before you blog I guess.
Aside from the main point of my text, can I mention (awaiting official confirmation!) that you have 7 days to resteem a Blog before the button disappears. I am wondering why it's only a week, I guess there must be reasons for this but what if you find something relevant and interesting buried away in the past?
Tell them their Blog post is super, comment, and upvote! 'cause you never know who's reading and ready to give your day an comedic and economic lift!
Thanks to @surfermarly and @sift666 for the inspiration, and thanks very much for reading, Asher.

Many thanks for the very flattering comments!
(Even getting mentioned along with @surfermarly is a compliment - she is awesome)
I realised later that resteem actually did used to be 30 days, back with the old payout system (24 hours/30 days).
And I thought I was just a dinosaur...

great post @abh12345 ... this goes a long way.
The prospect of rewards makes it easy to just jump and post anything that comes to mind... this is a good reminder to do some actual research and even more to keep in mind that value is created through interaction here!
