Being "normal" in an "abnormal" society

in thoughts •  7 years ago

I consider myself normal. Why wouldn't I? My normal baseline human experience comes from me.

I recently tore a door off its hinges by accident. I'm at the end of my 20s but keep going through periods of exponential strength gain. I don't gym, but I train a lot (in relation to sedentary others; but consider my training to be very minimalistic compared to what I know I/humans are capable of). No one else I know shares this problem, and as far as I am aware it does not seem to be a problem for "normal" humans (just me). Perhaps this is due to the modern "abnormal" practice of sedentary living combined with cheaper building construction. I've always wanted ridiculous strength so maybe it is my own fault.

Ridiculous strength is just one thing I have no other reference point to deal with. The modern world is made easier by all the data available on humans. Unfortunately this data is limited. I consider myself to be an over-eater, and have only recently started chewing my food loads. On researching over-eating, all the data refers to fat people, but I am not fat.

Another "abnormal" thing I hate is clothing size in the Western world. It is designed for fat people or incredibly skinny people; if you are "normal" like me and have developed the muscles on your legs, trousers will not fit your waist size. Your thighs will rip them apart. It used to be just "skinny jeans", but everything seems to be more and more skinny. Or maybe it is my thighs...

Anyway, those are just some examples, ignoring belief systems (which really leave me blown out of the water). Hopefully I will have more data to refer to in future.

@riskdebonair............you post such a great story,,,,,,,,and your presentation about the theme.............too good.............always we want a normal life......because abnormal life so painful.......that's why we want to lead a normal life.......thanks for share..

Thank you!

No online data can explain an true behaviour of human nature and diet system, you are an great technology itself so whenever you want to know about humans then you can sit down and can do the Self Introspection and try to deep dive into innerself, you will get all the answers, whatever data is prepared that is prepared through other sources, but in my opinion every human body is unique, so never compare yourself to others because their strengths and weaknesses are different and yours are different. So do what you like and how you like and live organic life instead of materialistic life. And the real strength is mental strength, muscles can develop many ways both organically and artificially but to gain mental strength is tough. Thanks for sharing this post.

Stay Blessed.

Maybe you're turning into a superhero?

@riskdebonair Your age and mine are in the opposite spectrum. It's more like, once upon a time I was slimmer, size 2 petite and now 15 yrs later a little bit heavier and size 00 petite. I think in the next five years there will be no size available for me and I will find myself at the kids section. Irish writter, this is a good one!
