Mitten in Manhattan befindet sich ein unheimlicher Ort. Die Kathedrale St. John The Divine, finanziert von Vertretern der New Yorker Logen und der Wallstreet, hat einige künstlerische und architektonische Details, die an einer Kirche irritieren. In detailreichen Bildhauereien werden apokalyptische Szenarien in New York dargestellt, wie die Zerstörung von Wall Street und dem World Trade Center.
Noch befremdlicher wirken die Rituale, die in der Kirche abgehalten werden. Höhepunkt ist die jährliche Procession of the Ghouls, eine heidnische, antichristliche Messe, die an Helloween gefeiert wird.
Wen überrascht es da noch, dass die Kathedrale auch den Vertretern einer egalistischen NWO-Religion, dem Temple of Understanding, ein Zuhause bietet.
