Over the past 100 years they have lost 93% of their range where they are usually seen.
Sumatran Tigers are endangered while Bengal tigers and other subspecies of tigers are not but it does not mean we should not be careful or protect them. They are a threatened species facing loss of habitat, habitat fragmentation, poaching and many are abused in circus shows and some zoos.
Although some zoos can function as a reserve for some animals given that they have very good facilities etc.
the title of this drawing is "Tigger" Im not a fan of pooh but i like it! I used Pentel colored pencils 12 pencil set! what a challenge. this took me 2 months to draw. I inked the outline of the eyes to create more depth. the paper size is 12 x 16 inches or A3 size.
This mother and cub tiger drawing I made way back 2014 using Faber Castel classic colors set of 48 colors. the size is 9 x 12 inches and it is textured paper. I also used a pen to ink the outline of the eyes.
I have never seen a tiger before but i hope so, one day. Just don't eat me tiger.
