hey, today i learned why bathrooms are used to be representated with a crescent moon(the half moon ) on TV or movies. I bet you have seen it. The reason is because in the North american Colonial period, obviously people did not know how to read, so to identify a bathroom on the way, they put them a crescent moon that was actually for women, and a "star cut out" for men, the "moon" had the purpose of let light inside the bathroom too...
