If this happened in humans, our discussions about social status would be different.
In conversations, we’d be more explicit about status and dominance because it would be too undeniable. Your status would be etched on your face.
Right now people can be in denial of status. There is plausible deniability about who has status when.
But if changes in status led to changes in your face, this plausible deniability would evaporate.
