For Love of You: Daddy's HomesteemCreated with Sketch.

Hello and Good Morning everyone! The past few days has been really worrisome because my dad was brought to the hospital and was diagnosed of mild stroke, he was confined for 4 days. Series of test was done such as CT scan, chest xray and laboratories. The stroke causes his speech to stammer or stutter and he sometimes acts like a child. I guess others would say he's nearing the second childhood thing.

When my brother pmed  me that they will be home after lunch. I prepared his room that's why I was quite busy yesterday. So busy not even one article was written other online activities was set aside as well. My apologies  for not  being visible in some of your post.  I needed to  know some details because Doctors gave instructions for home care and medication.

My dad has a lot of medicines to take and  therapies to be done. It's really
arduous to take care an old and sick person.  I am all new to this. Giving care for him needs or rather must have unlimited patience and understanding. I guess Ma'am  @purpledaisy57   would relate to this. !

For now I just need be his daughter and love him more.  I just wish God will give me what I need to be able to do this right because I am still scared and a bit worried.

Thank you all for taking time to read my post.

Awe, we do what we can for our parents when this happens. You're a good daughter for trying. I have helped my parents along the way too in their latter years but it was my paternal Grandmother where it was an extensive and more serious feat as she had demntia, deiabetes, and broke her hip, had various other illnesses such as arthritis in her back and gall bladder surgery, Shingles, one after the other. Whew! Most of the time she was not in the hospital but the trips back and forth sometimes were unnerving too. Her mind just wasn't her own anymore, she accused people of things, and forgot who I was, the normal sad things a person with dementia usually does. You just have to remember we all get that old eventually if we're lucky and it would be nice to have someone to take care of you too then like you're helping your dad. God Bless and may your dad live an even longer healthy life.

Oh I guess i will be sending you some message to ask some advice. Its scary because I don't know how to give extra care to an old and sick person. Thank you for dropping by.

Yes, please love him and be by his side. Stay strong and pray to Jehovah

Thank you @surpassinggoogle It was nice of you to drop by.

Spoke to your mumsy too. Stay strong and awesome!

praying for his fast recovery...god bless!!

Sick or not, parents should be given unconditional love for they truly deserved it. Parents do everything they can to protect, support, and provide the basic needs of their kids. Others even provide the wants of their children just to see them happy. We never know their sacrifices for us until we became parents too. I'm not yet a mother nor married but I saw their patients and unconditional love for me. They are seniors already and I feel like I am now the mother of them. :)

Ate Janet, this is full of soul. I have no words. It's priceless. God bless you!!!

Aww. I felt sad reading this. Hoping for the fast recovery of your dad. Everything will be alright.

good luck and keep strong

Your dad is happy despite of the situation, it is because of you.

Father should be respected and cared until the last air they breathe and last uttered words. Hug him for us.

I feel you @summer14. My dad was also rushed to the hospital last Aug 7. And just recently we found out that he has a cancer. It's not easy to face problems like these. But always remember, God is with us. Be strong. :)

Hope he will be okay ma'am Janet. The most painful episode I had been through was when my father passed away last year.

Praying for his fast recovery sis. Hope you are okay to. Stay strong because one your Dad seen that, he will keep on fighting.

Hoping all is well. :)
