LET EVERY “DOLLAR” COUNT!

Let's imagine: 86,400 SBD is credited to your Steemit wallet at midnight everyday. The money is yours to do whatever you please...!

...but there is a clause to the supply: whatever is left of that money in your wallet by 11:59:59pm will be removed from the wallet and another 86,400SBD is credited again by 12.
This cycle continues for as long as you're alive.

Having imagined that, what will you do? Let me guess (and I'm sure my guess is correct): You will make sure you withdraw every dime before midnight! As a matter of fact, that's the most intelligent thing to do.

Everyday, we are given 86,400 seconds (24 hours) to live our lives till it's midnight again.

Time doesn't come with anything in itself. A new day is a space of time to make new choices and take new steps/decisions; and it is those decisions and choices, taken today, that will determine tomorrow.

It is possible to always have a great day.
“What is a great day?”, “By what parameters do I measure to know if I had a great day?” you may ask.
A great day is that day which brings you closer to achieving your goals. The above definition was given by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome (DSc, DD) in his message titled, “How To Have A Great Day. ” He also went on to outline 7 points for having a great day (You can purchase and listen to the message from the Pastor Chris Digital Library app. The app is available for download on the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store).

However, I would like to add a few points on how to make every second count:

AVOID DISTRACTIONS AND TIME WASTERS
A distraction is anything that takes your attention away from what you ought to be focusing on at the moment. It must not necessarily be something wrong or negative, but as long as it makes you stop focusing on what you should be focusing on, it's a distraction.

PLAN YOUR ACTIVITIES FOR THE DAY IN AN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE
Every activity of ours falls under 1 of 4 categories:

  1. Important and urgent
  2. Important but not urgent
  3. Not important but urgent
  4. Not important and not urgent

If majority of your activities are in Category 1, you're not managing your time properly. If most of your activities are in Categories 3 and 4, you might just have been spending your time on time wasters.
The best place for your activities to be is in Category 2, and carry them out while they're still in Category 2.

DON'T PROCRASTINATE
Procrastination, they say, is the thief of time. Eat that frog now!

At this point, I must recommend the book, “Eat That Frog” by Brian Tracy.

ALWAYS HAVE TIME TO REST
You have an amazing body — that has a brain that can process information in seconds/minutes — and a mind so powerful that it can attract to you whatever you focus it on.
But, like a machine, you must allow your body to rest and refuel. Rest your body as well as your mind.

Footprints in the sands of time were not made while sitting. Success belongs to the one who says, “I'm gonna read that book” and he reads it; the one who says, “I'm gonna go to school” and he goes; the one who determines to work out and immediately heads to the gym.

What is that “next big thing” you want to do? The world is waiting for you!
