We are obsessed with time. Your time is limited. Time Management is the most important habit of highly successful people. Time is very real. Time is NOT a "social construct" but is very real thing that is entirely outside of social control. You may have good timing, but you cannot control time. Keeping track of time is very important, because it allows us to coexist. Therefore as humans, synchronizing time is very important. Modern technology synchronized time with atomic clocks, but they are limited because they do not work in many places such as in underground tunnels, or underwater.
Many people, institutions, and devices MUST agree upon time, in order for something very important to take place, for example, a financial transaction across a digital network. So the synchronicity of time keeping is of paramount technological importance for your personal finances operating properly, for example.
Recently, professor Hiroyuki Tanaka of Muographix at the University of Tokyo has invented a novel way to synchronize time across multiple devices using cosmic time synchronization, or CTS. Most of us go through our days without thinking but once about Comic Radiation, but it's there.
Once it is deployed, adopted, and advanced, CTS has the potential of replacing GPS.
One of the advantages of CTS, once it is further developed and adopted, is that although GPS can be hacked and faked, you cannot fake muons, so CTS is a significantly more secure system. The adoption of CTS should immediately be encouraged globally.
Muons travel at about the speed of light, they come from deep space, they can easily penetrate and travel through water and rock. This means that Time can be synchronized underwater, and in tunnels, which currently it cannot. Similarly, GPS has blind spots towards the poles of the earth, CTS will fix this.
Basically, a muon shower is made when, 15 km above the earth, muons hit the atmosphere, and they split into a shower. As they hit the earth, they travel through the rock and water, because these particles are that small, and moving at nearly the speed of light. They are detectable, and they allow a new system of measuring time, that is independent of the Earth's magnetic field, because muons are coming from deep space. Every hour, we know how many muons strike a square meter of the earth. Leveraging CTS will be a significant advance.
