This picture was taken last December 31 2017, before New Year's Eve. For the first time, my 2-year-old daughter -- Astrid, asked me to go with her outside our house. I thought she would just like to visit a toy shop around our area (as we usually do) but I was surprised, as soon as we stepped out of our gate, she ran towards to bunch of kids playing, and joined them. The kids shared their toys and taught her how to use those coloring materials.
I have mixed emotions seeing my daughter learning how to socialize with other kids, because she used to play and interact with me and her mom most of the time at home. It feels a bit sad because I know that someday, she will be spending more time playing with other kids than with us. But it feels more fulfilling as a parent that my daughter is growing up and exploring the world.
If only I could control the time, I would make it slower for us to enjoy more this kind of moments.
