Morpheus Labs recently announed in a Medium post that it has integrated the Steem blockchain into its BPaaS platform, meaning developers and companies can develop on the Steem blockchain through their platform using Ruby, Javascript, and Python libraries.
Morpheus Labs simplifies the process of blockchain adoption, offering a wide range of interoperable dApp solutions across a variety of blockchain platforms. Its Blockchain Platform-as-a-Service (BPaaS) is built to help Enterprises and Developers overcome their pain in development due to the lack of environment; and to reduce time and cost spent to experiment on different Blockchains. Developers will gain access to tools which speed up and simplify the process of developing Steem-powered DApps. DApps can be sold on the Morpheus Labs BPaaS marketplace.
I have not been able to download this app in my jurisdiction to test if STEEM is integrated, would like to hear feedback and see screenshots from others who can verify.
If you need a fast and secure wallet for Android or iOS you can download steemwallet. Steemwallet can monitor multiple Steem accounts, receive STEEM/SBD by showing a QR code and it let's you sign and send transactions with biometry support.
It was developed and is maintained by @roelandp and you can find all info plus download links via steemwallet.app.
I think they are going to expand to the US with a dedicated platform, much like there is Bittrex for US customers and Bittrex International for everyone else.
At a blockchain level Steem gives around 1.8% per annum currently as inflation interest on staked STEEM POWER, but in addition to this, Steem stakeholders have the opportunity to participate in a 2nd layer P2P delegation leasing marketplace, dlease.io which currently has orders pending offering up to 26.2% APR!
Steem is currently rated as a C- investment in August 2019, with its technology being one of its strongest attributes. The fast and feeless 3 second blocktime chain, soon to have native token issuance features possibly as early as Q4 2019, is the backbone behind the reasons to invest in Steem.
Four months ago from this post date Steem was rated a B+ according to the Weiss Linked In page.
@nathanmars thanks for participating here, we have just released a new feature where topic creators like @chrisaiki will now earn 5% beneficiary rewards on all replies to his topic, which will make his content evergreen as a rewards recipient.
@chrisaiki ok perfect, it wasn't clear that funding was required, would be interesting to know how the funding would be used and how much would be applied for.
Been thinking about starting up some local meet ups in my city...
But would love to know if anyone has had success with these kind of events. I know the London Steem community do these regularly, as well as the promo-steem group...
Any feedback or ideas would be great. I've never done a meet up but think it could attract some attention these days with all the Facebook Libra hype :)
The only democratic system is one person, one vote.
So I propose that the decision about the governance and the evolution of the Steem blockchain is based on this system.
I know one mobile app that is allowing a community to vote. http://votemobile.xyz
Votemobile is designed for small communities where the webmaster knows everyones else.
We could require that each participant register with the Duniter Universal dividend.
Duniter is using a web of trust https://github.com/duniter/wotb
Or a steem dev could fork this web of trust for the steem voting process.
Or we can design a web of trust on Steem, to participate, you have to reply to one post. The author of the post verify that your account is active. Active voter have to indicate how they have been validated in the votemobile mail.
I think there are several web of trust available, but I am not a specialist.
I agree with the idea of a Web of Trust for Steem, it will help many games and services to avoid botting by multiple users, however it needs to be coupled with Proof of Humanity via biometrics or something. I have sent over 10 emails out to potential biometrics partners but to date haven't had any responses.
I'm still trying, BuildTeam has so much to do regarding TokenBB and DLease as well as other services so it is difficult to do everything. In future we may be able to direct resources to something such as this.
Shapeshift requires a 20K USD liquidity fee for listing Steem the last time I chatted to them a few months ago. If there is enough community support for this idea I will submit a proposal.
The current inflation rewards split is:
Content Rewards: 75%
SP Interest: 15%
Witness Rewards: 10%
SPS: 0
Proposed split based on polled witness median:
Content Rewards: 65%
SP Interest: 15%
Witness Rewards: 10%
SPS: 10%
Steemit inc would have proposed the following but are happy to go with the above witness poll:
Content Rewards: 67.5%
SP Interest: 13.5%
Witness: 10%
SPS: 9%
We earn interest on the SP we vest? I absolutely never knew that... Though, at only 1.8%, I can see why I didn't know that. That's worse than my savings account at my bank earns. While I am ok with a slight drop in author rewards, going from 75% to 50% is just not acceptable. That would put the author in a position where Steem would be the worst earning platform they could publish on. Apple is 70/30 and Amazon is... 80/20 (I think?). Now granted, I understand there is a very obvious difference between these platforms, but the point still stands. The principle behind this is bad, and the optics far worse.
@southernwolf, we are discussing that now, although the discussion is going in the direction of removing the SP interest altogether.
As a steem stake holder I second the proposal to remove the SP interest and allocating 2/3 of it to the SPS. I am not in favor of cutting the portion that is set aside for witness pay. Block producers are the last line of defence when it comes to perserving the integrity of the blockchain and we need as many backup witnesses as possible.
My prefered distribution is:
With this setup there is an additional incentive to hold steem power that has some game theory advantages. Over time it would diminish the influence of actors that are just here to extract value.
Ok, so here's my suggestion! Remove interest earning on SP, and use that to fund thinks like the SPS? Cause, I doubt anyone (except a few whales and witnesses) would miss that. That would leave author rewards untouched while still freeing up some funding. Then, if funding the SPS initially is successful using that, then the amount it is funded with could be increased by reducing the other sections. That way, it's a gradual shift, which allows the waters to be tested before we dive right in...
I think it makes it hard for the small voters to see that their vote (their voice) matters, the idea and economics is fine, but the perception may not be.
For those who don't know, currently there is a 15min vote window (reduced from a prior 30 mins) within this window the curator earns zero curation at inception and steadily rises to 100% curation earned at 15mins. When it was 30 mins, the lost curation used to go to the author, currently it goes back to the rewards pool. This feature was meant to put bots and humans on equal footing, but rather served to add cognitive load for those in the know, all of a sudden they had to decide to wait to vote or just vote and lose curation if they didn't have time.
This feature is making UX terrible and for those who don't know about it, they just lose curation by voting earlier than 15 mins. With the advent of HF21 consensus witnesses have siezed the opportunity to change this at the 11th hour thanks to Steemit agreeing to implement the change if we can come to a quick decision, after a few hours of discussion, a decision was reached almost unanimously amoung the quorum poll. The figure arrived at was 1 minute and will be included in this change.
Steemit is however cautious on this matter and voiced concern bots would have additional advantage, however authors will also benefit from bots frontrunning curation because the bots help to bring the content out of superlinear into the linear realm. There are huge UX benefits and users won't feel like they are being robbed of curation if they vote too early and perhaps didn't even know there was a penalty.
If need be we can increase it again in the next HF, there are also other frontends like DTube that have instant curation with no penalties AFAIK and Steemit is fast losing ground to third party apps because it is too slow to innovate, this could be one positive step towards keeping up with the times and preparing for short form content on Steem like forums, Twitter, Instagram and chat type apps.
This is one of the proposed changes for HF21, the split is currently 75% Author / 25% Curator. Some say authors will benefit more due to the increased curation incentives away from self voting and delegating to bidbots, however will passive stakeholders really change their behaviour and bother to evaluate content? Is it possible to game this new system with multiple accounts ie author and curator accounts belonging to the same person, and what about the issue of making Steem a place of back door deals and begging whales for votes rather than just paying to promote your own content?
Some businesses and apps may be affected, especially if they are fundraising platforms like Fundition and Utopian. Publishing houses will find it more difficult to setup shop on Steem because they have less share of rewards to give to their writers, it also affects frontends that rely on beneficiary rewards.
Looking forward to your thoughts for and against the 50/50 split.
I'm absolutely against a 50/50 split. It won't magically increase the price. It won't make whales vote more for the average user.
Who will profit?
Whales
Already famous authors, because they get high votes and everyone wants a piece of that if possible
I actually count myself to the second group. I'd likely benefit from a 50/50 split, due to people seeing me as a good target to earn (which is a perverted way to look at content creators).
Who will heavily suffer is the average user, who's already earning below a dollar per post. That dollar will be cut in two, and it's likely that the post won't even be voted because there's not enough curation to snipe.
This is another step away from content, the one thing that really differentiates Steem from most other blockchains. The reason many users even came here.
I know many don't see a value in content. I know many think that those who invested money should be rewarded more. But you're forgetting that without content, there's no reward either.
Exactly. I love seeing the "before you go saying this will only / mostly benefit whales..." preface to posts defending the 50/50 split. If you have to go prefacing your changes with that kind of rhetoric, you are the problem.
Thank you for getting this started @thecryptodrive. There has been a lot of discussion bot in posts and in some of the discords. The topic was kicked around at the monthly Witness Chat last Wednesday.
Unfortunately there was a lock of top 20 witnesses present to hear their views on the changes. The general consensus I heard was that most folks want to see the SPS. They want to see it funded effectively but not through hitting one area of the inflation pool. We all should carry the effort.
I heard almost no support for the idea of the 50/50 split. Most people don't believe it will change any current behaviour and will serve to discourage content creators. Some forget that content creation takes many forms, not just blogging. We are creating content in conversing here for example.
The downvote pool did generate a diversity of views. Some felt it would invite more flag wars, some thought it could be of some benefit. Others thought it would not make a big difference either way, they would be unlikely to use it any more than now as there would still be a retaliation mentality.
I'll mention this forum to others and see if we can get some conversation going.
Is it possible to game this new system with multiple accounts ie author and curator accounts belonging to the same person, and what about the issue of making Steem a place of back door deals and begging whales for votes rather than just paying to promote your own content?
This is already possible in the current enviornment, so it is a none issue. "Back door deals" is just another way of paying for votes not very different from promotion services from an economic standpoint.
Some businesses and apps may be affected, especially if they are fundraising platforms like Fundition and Utopian. Publishing houses will find it more difficult to setup shop on Steem because they have less share of rewards to give to their writers, it also affects frontends that rely on beneficiary rewards.
This is a legitimate argument against the 50/50 split. How many businesses are currently built around the 75/25 structure? From that list how many of them create demand for steem (in a way that can be measured) and are not just here to milk the reward pool?
I am for the EIP as a whole from a game theory perspective. You cannot isolate the 50/50 split from the other components of the proposal.
The proposed curve is an economic incentive that mitigates sybil attacks from botnets that utilize small accounts to milk the reward pool.
The free downvote portion provides an additional tool to combat abuse.
The 50/50 split removes incentives from posting in favor of voting. If you combine this with the fact that holding SP gives you "interest" it makes spaming for self votes less attractive instead of going down the path of least resistance (voting for rewards).
If some big accounts start to use the "free" downvotes to counter the most notorious self voters that abuse the system it will leave more rewards for legitimate users (which would mitigate the reduction in author rewards from 75/25 to 50/50). In my opinion that would be the most important test to gauge the effectiveness of the EIP (if approved).
Some businesses and apps may be affected, especially if they are fundraising platforms like Fundition and Utopian. Publishing houses will find it more difficult to setup shop on Steem because they have less share of rewards to give to their writers, it also affects frontends that rely on beneficiary rewards.
For example, with Utopian, they always end up voting last due to how thourough the review system works. A 50/50 split would lower the amount of reward going to the contributor and instead distribute it soley to the people who votes right before the large utopian vote. This could lead to people just setting up bots to vote on posts they know will receive a large vote later such as these.
I think we have to be pretty realistic about this. There is always going to be a way to abuse the system, and in crypto the whales are always going to be able to make much more money than the average normal user.
What we have to see is that the system we currently have is obviously broken.
Most of the value of the votes come from the voting bots, there is relentless self vote farming especially on low value levels to disguise it, and, I'm sure, no one finds the current system fair at all.
There is not going to be a perfect system, but the only way to find a solution is through trial and error.
A last minute addition to the HF was added to increase custom json from 1 to 5 per block, this will greatly help apps that use custom json. It was limited to 1 previously when there were no RC's to limit spam, it is safe to increase the limit now that RC's exist to regulate it, also each custom json can only be a max of 2048 bytes in size as regulated by Jussi and 8192 bytes as a blockchain hard limit.
My bet is on debacle, but I base that on prior results.
Rc credits was a good thing.
Maybe this will be, too.
The test will be in how quick the exploits are forked out of this fork.
I know forks are hated by exchanges, but good customer service (rofl) could mitigate that.
Stinc is better known for running customers off.
Testnet is up - running branch testnet-20190628. There will be another tagged release candidate next week which will include the change to the 15 minute reverse auction to 1 minute.
Isn't it kinda risky giving notice to exchanges that early in advance? Considering that a sucessful fork depends on 17/20 witnesses adopting the new software. If a HF failed, wouldn't that really mess with exchanges that were expecting a HF at that date and time?
Hey as a steem developer here's a few github repos that I find useful whenever I'm making something on steem :
https://github.com/drov0/steemsnippets : This is an initiative I started a while ago when I was astonished by the lack of proper snippets and code examples
Quoting the README:
This is a collection of various snippets for steem.
This is intended to be a collection where people can come, search for a specific functionality and have a working code snippet associated.
This is basically a list of tutorials that teaches you to do a lot of stuff on steem. When they did this it almost rendered my previous repo useless. But the use case is kinda different, the tutorial nature of it makes it so that they always implement it as a web app which means that you have to strip a lot of "document.getElementById" to get the actual snippet that you want.
Thanks for sharing @howo, I hope it encourages others to post their repos here too. Your snippets collection will be very valuable for new developers we onboard at BuildTeam, I didn't know about it until you linked it here.

Just a quick tip for anyone who enjoys daily contests on Steem. @shoemanchu has contests where you can win Gold Splinterland cards or SBI shares every day. It's also extremely easy to enter; just type a number between 1 and 50 in the comments to join in.
@thecryptodrive ~ When I attempt to leave a reply here, I receive an error which leads me to believe the comment had not posted and the text of the comment remains in the editor window afterwards.

Would it be possible to add a "Remember Me" checkbox at login which sets a cookie? Even if I do an F5 BrowserRefresh operation on this page, I am logged-out, just as if I had exited the site. If I close this tab, or Refresh the page, it would be nice to stay logged-in upon return. Thanks for consideration! 🙂

Actually, I worked in I.T. for many years as a software developer, back in the "old days" when it was called "programming" and not "coding" as it is today. Besides being a Programmer/Analyst, I was Systems Administrator on an IBM mainframe back in the 1980s, and several mid-range systems through the 1990s and 2000s. So, I know my way through a few error messages. 😁 Retired now, though.

I have run into the same error where I get this message, but the reply is still posted anyway.
Speaking of errors... the link for tokenbb from State of the DApps sends one to an error page
Clicking on the clickable image on State of the Dapps shown below...
Results in this...
The folks might want to change the link to neosteem.com vice tokenbb.io. Just a suggestion. The link to support seems to be working though.
Those multiple replies were where I clicked the 'Reply' button again several times, trying to capture the text of the error message which flashes briefly and disappears. My last reply has the text I see in it!
@sgt-dan thanks for letting us know, the link seems to work for us, might have been a temporary outage. We prefer the leave the link going to https://tokenbb.io as that is the info site, however I will be adding images of what neosteem looks like after reading what you just said, it looks way better.

@valth we are aware of the error you speak of, it is a bug on our side, typically with Brave which I presume you are using. I don't get errors on Chrome.

@thekittygirl, we are aware of the problem, I can tell you are using Brave browser because that is where this issue lies. I don't have this issue on Chrome, the forum works awesome on Chrome. Thus is on our list and are trying to find a workaround.
Last week on the Curation Corner we welcomed @thecrytodrive to talk about Build Team and the work they have been doing on the platform.
One of the topics of discussion during the show was about TokenBB. Afterwards I had a look at what Build Team has been doing here and setup a Forum for Rambling Radio which has its home in The Ramble.
I'll be gradually adding more information there as the forum allows me to organize the posts I do to my Steem blog about Rambling Radio and the SHADE Token.
There is also an area where you can start a discussion on anything you'd like
thank you @thecryptodrive ... the forum setup is a great way to organize topics and keep the information current.
Was really great having you on the show. The hour went by quickly with a good flow of conversation. But then you guys are doing lots which makes it even easier.
I'm usually not that into these Steem price analysis articles, but this one seems to be quite well written, with a lot of information.
In any case, it's nice to see Steem covered in a larger publication such as Bravenewcoin.com
The criticism Steem has received is sufficiently backed up with facts and the conclusion is still fairly positive.
It's an interesting read for sure!
This is epic, I wouldn’t have known this article existed if you didn’t post it here. I even have an association with BNC cause I used to manage their Steem blog and introduced them to Steem in 2016.
Yeah, I'm always checking Google News to find out whether there have been new articles posted about Steem or Steemit.
Usually, it's just low-quality price analysis from small unknown blogs, but this one was really well written & BNC is a quality crypto news website.
I'll keep posting more articles, whenever I see another interesting one pop-up.
the company said that it tracks apps across multiple major blockchains. At that time, the list included: Ethereum, EOS, TRON, Steem, TomoChain, IOST and Blockstack.
Steem was the only crypto social media platform listed alongside four others (TikTok, Caffeine, Lasso and Houseparty) in an article on Hubspot.com. It was ranked 5th but it means hands down Steemit.com is the best known crypto blogging site.
DataDash is a Youtube channel with roughly 318K Subscribers, in a recent video entitled "Top Ten Coins To Watch In 2020", Steem is listed as number 10 and touted for the fact that it supports a varied ecosystem of apps, steemapps.com, steem.com and 3speak.online were among the Steem community websites shown on the video.
Yuri Cataldo (School of Drama ’08), Host of The Coin Chat and Author of Be Left Behind cites Steem/Steemit as the technology that introduced him to cryptocurrency.
I really didn’t do much with the technology until 2016, when I was at a conference in San Diego where Ned Scott, one of the founders of Steemit, gave a presentation on what was happening with Steemit, with cryptocurrency, with blockchain, and so on. I became really interested in what Steemit was doing—basically providing a way to do Reddit but get paid for your time.
Is Steemit a publisher? Like Medium?
Steemit’s kind of like Medium, but what you do is you publish articles and then people vote with STEEM dollars. That was my first real live introduction into the space, into what people were working on, and I found it absolutely fascinating and exciting. I then jumped in with Steemit as a way to understand the space and its potential in more detail. I started posting articles and reading other people’s writing, and from that, I met a lot more people in the community. That’s really when I started learning more, mostly by asking people questions. Basically, I became slightly involved with the cryptocurrency space in 2014 and more heavily involved in 2016.
In 2016 Larimer teamed up with Ned Scott to invent Steem a social network based on blockchain which used Graphene technology. Ned was appointed as CEO and Larimer decided to focus on the technology that would run the Steem. They initially took an investment worth of 220,000 dollars and delivered a functioning website in just a few months. They launched the Steem cryptographic token, and it was made available for mining to everyone.
They decided to give 5 dollars in Steem to users so they can use it to vote, read and post immediately without any signup fee. Steem mined 80% of STEEM during the first week, but that percentage decreased as new miners started mining Steem.
When Larimer left the Steem, there were rumors in the market that he left the company in a dispute, but in April 2017 Steem and Daniel made the joint statement to set aside the story. Reason for Larimer to quit Steemit was that he wanted to create smart contract blockchain with parallel processing that would support applications and provide users with no-fee services.
This article discusses both good development strides by Steemit Inc in pushing forward development of SMT's and communities, but it also speaks of falling interest in Steem and onboarding issues where users are unhappy with the rewards they receive as first timers, as well as abuse by whales using bidbots and downvoting users they don't agree with.
Steem/Steemit mentioned as pioneer of the crypto social space in a news article on Bitcoin.com, but also discussed several restructuring difficulties at Steemit.com (Steemit Inc.) and multiple account creation issue, bots etc.
The article also mentioned DTube which uses the Steem blockchain.
Steem recently featured on Yahoo Finance, the news article originated from prnewswire.com and was then picked up and syndicated by alot of news outlets including Yahoo Finance.
The Center for Information and Industry Development (CCID), under China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, released the 12th update of its crypto project rankings in August 2019. Apart form overall ranking, there are also technology, applicability, and creativity sub-categories.
Steem is ranked 4th overall and has remained fairly stable in rank on the CCID despite decline in Coinmarketcap.com rankings down to 85th place.
Github activity is often used to gauge the liveliness of a project and helps determine which are still active and may have upcoming releases. Consensys acknowledged Steem as one of the top 20 most active blockchains. It also mentioned eSteem as one of the high ranking stateofthedapps.com apps.
Table 1 - Blockchains and main layers supporting tokens
The next two subsections focus on both blockchains supporting decentralized applications (DApps) as classified by DApp.Review, and the main blockchains by market cap. As a result, the rest of this report will only focus on the following nine blockchains: Ethereum (ETH), Binance Chain (BNB), Tron (TRX), EOS (EOS), IOST (IOST), Steemit (STEEM), Ontology (ONT), NEO (NEO) and Tomochain (TOMO).
Transfer costs and median gas fees vary greatly across chains. Blockchains such as STEEM or EOS rely on a contribution model with the need for resources. On the other hand, blockchains like Ethereum, Tron or TomoChain rely on gas fees to transfer tokens from one address to another. The price of gas fees is subject to real-time market demand/supply dynamics.
I was wondering if there are any witnesses we could vote for, who are focused on marketing Steem?
In the past, Jerry Banfield was running many different ad campaigns to promote Steem and I quite liked the fact that he did that.
Now, I'm definitely not proposing to try and bring Jerry back, nor am I saying that I was a big fan of him in general while he was still here.
Still, it would be beneficial for Steem if there would be at least one witness that focused on promoting this amazing blockchain to the world.
Barely any articles are being written about Steem, just check Google News for that, and on Youtube there are very little new videos being published that talk about Steem.
I know that Steemit Inc. is doing some promotion, but it would be more effective if there was some sort of collective effort for marketing Steem.
My guess is that if one witness decided to take this challenge, they could really grow their status on the platform. I know I'd vote for them if that were the case.
They updated it on May 30th but before that, nothing since December of 2018.
Which blows my mind...
I got a notice that I became a 'Top Fan' for that page, and would love to see Steemit Inc either let the community run it, or hire someone to actually manage it.
This is a massive opportunity that is being lost, and we can see the powerful impact Steem has around other traditional social media platforms...
How do we get this page active and not miss out....Especially as this potential 'bullrun' is coming?
They updated it on May 30th but before that, nothing since December of 2018.
Which blows my mind...
Yeah that's a huge missed opportunity and it's not like it's a huge amount of work to just post updates once in a while.
Can't believe that they don't even share those steem.marketing interviews there.
Heck, I reckon they could even find a volunteer who's willing to post updates once in a while.
This is a perfect thing that the SPS can be used for regarding worker proposals for a weekly fee to maintain the FB page, maybe like $150 per week or so.
Glad I met you on @shadowspub's server. Great to hear the things you are doing and glad I voted your witness! You are doing a great job for all of us! Now I must finish editing my #seven77 PALNET/STEEM post for Twitter. Not smart enough to be a business man, but I have my little skills. Even with the arthritis I was able to pump out seven (7) push-ups. Not bad for a fat middle-aged man.
That is really great! I have been using the Exodus.io cold wallet for a while now! It would be great to get STEEM and SBD added. Make life so much easier. I lose things on my computer to include cold wallets! I suffer from CRS (Can't Remember Stuff)!
@sgt-dan funny coincidence I also suffer from CRS, just didn't know the correct medical acronym until now.:)
Also have more news from paycent.com they will be adding Steem to their debit card wallet and need some assistance from Steemit inc devs, I'm busy facilitating that now.
Some good news, Coinswitch has agreed to list Steem and will likely have it done before end of July, thanks to @aggroed@starkerz@bitrocker2020 and @mcfarhat of Actifit for adding marketing incentives to Coinswitch alongside BuildTeam's offering. This means we are one step closer to getting Steem on Exodus wallet.
@sgt-dan I was glad to have met you as well, you have a wonderful passion for Steem and it is users like you that makes building on Steem worthwhile. Wow I think you have me beat on pushups, I don't reckon I could do 7, maybe I could, not sure if I want to embarass myself.
In the past, everybody hate to wait in the queue. No longer with eSteem and tokenBB. Today you can get pay to give your opinion about climate change in the Happy Planet forum run on tokenBB.
This is what I like very much with eSteem, it is here with you, with your smart phone. You can post a picture on Steemit when you go out for a walk or post an opinion in a forum.
I also like very much the notification button that is allowing you to get noticed about the different interaction with your activity on the Steem blockchain.
This is just a small tip for anyone that use Busy.org for writing posts. If you use #busy as one of your tags, you will get an upvote from the Busy account. It will calculate how much you get by how many vests your followers has, so people with many followers will get a pretty decent upvote. It tends to be worth "sacrificing" one of your tags for.
On the other side, Busy is taking 10 % of your reward ! so the upvote from busy needs to be bigger than 10 % of the reward.
Busy did not integrated ads in the IU, so you can check your feed without Ads.
If I use the tag #busy but post from another UI I won't get a vote right? Likely not because Busy would not be set as beneficiary, but would like a second opinion.
If I use the tag #busy but post from another UI I won't get a vote right? Likely not because Busy would not be set as beneficiary, but would like a second opinion.
Correct. However, it's optional to have Busy as a beneficiary even if you use their UI.
You have set up a new tokenBB forum ?
You are welcome to list it here so we know where to discuss about what.
Did you try https://environment.tokenbb.io/ to discuss about environment problems and solutions ?

Topic: Morpheus Labs integrates Steem into its BPaaS platform

Votemobile is designed for small communities where the webmaster knows everyones else.
We could require that each participant register with the Duniter Universal dividend.
Duniter is using a web of trust
https://github.com/duniter/wotb

Topic: Confirmed Changes to the Vote Window

Topic: 50% Author / 50% Curator Rewards Changes

This is already possible in the current enviornment, so it is a none issue. "Back door deals" is just another way of paying for votes not very different from promotion services from an economic standpoint.

Topic: Custom Json Limit increased
A last minute addition to the HF was added to increase custom json from 1 to 5 per block, this will greatly help apps that use custom json. It was limited to 1 previously when there were no RC's to limit spam, it is safe to increase the limit now that RC's exist to regulate it, also each custom json can only be a max of 2048 bytes in size as regulated by Jussi and 8192 bytes as a blockchain hard limit.
Steemit Inc issued this post about it.

Isn't it kinda risky giving notice to exchanges that early in advance? Considering that a sucessful fork depends on 17/20 witnesses adopting the new software. If a HF failed, wouldn't that really mess with exchanges that were expecting a HF at that date and time?

Topic: List of good github repos to develop on steem
But it's basically the best place to start

Actually, I worked in I.T. for many years as a software developer, back in the "old days" when it was called "programming" and not "coding" as it is today. Besides being a Programmer/Analyst, I was Systems Administrator on an IBM mainframe back in the 1980s, and several mid-range systems through the 1990s and 2000s. So, I know my way through a few error messages. 😁 Retired now, though.

Topic: Rambling Radio has a TokenBB Forum
Last week on the Curation Corner we welcomed @thecrytodrive to talk about Build Team and the work they have been doing on the platform.
One of the topics of discussion during the show was about TokenBB. Afterwards I had a look at what Build Team has been doing here and setup a Forum for Rambling Radio which has its home in The Ramble.
The new forum can be found here: Rambling Radio Forum
I'll be gradually adding more information there as the forum allows me to organize the posts I do to my Steem blog about Rambling Radio and the SHADE Token.
There is also an area where you can start a discussion on anything you'd like

I'm usually not that into these Steem price analysis articles, but this one seems to be quite well written, with a lot of information.
In any case, it's nice to see Steem covered in a larger publication such as Bravenewcoin.com
The criticism Steem has received is sufficiently backed up with facts and the conclusion is still fairly positive.
It's an interesting read for sure!

Github activity is often used to gauge the liveliness of a project and helps determine which are still active and may have upcoming releases. Consensys acknowledged Steem as one of the top 20 most active blockchains. It also mentioned eSteem as one of the high ranking stateofthedapps.com apps.

Topic: Are There Any Steem Witnesses Focused on Marketing Steem?

Topic: The 'Official' Steem Facebook Page....We Need To Fire It Up!
This is such a wasted opportunity that I think can be leveraged...
So the Steem facebook page has over 26,000 people that have liked it.
https://www.facebook.com/steemnetwork/
They updated it on May 30th but before that, nothing since December of 2018.
Which blows my mind...
I got a notice that I became a 'Top Fan' for that page, and would love to see Steemit Inc either let the community run it, or hire someone to actually manage it.
This is a massive opportunity that is being lost, and we can see the powerful impact Steem has around other traditional social media platforms...
How do we get this page active and not miss out....Especially as this potential 'bullrun' is coming?

Yeah that's a huge missed opportunity and it's not like it's a huge amount of work to just post updates once in a while.
Can't believe that they don't even share those steem.marketing interviews there.
Heck, I reckon they could even find a volunteer who's willing to post updates once in a while.
Edit: Oh I see they did post 1 interview

Some good news, Coinswitch has agreed to list Steem and will likely have it done before end of July, thanks to @aggroed @starkerz @bitrocker2020 and @mcfarhat of Actifit for adding marketing incentives to Coinswitch alongside BuildTeam's offering.

Topic: Esteem, get paid to give your opinion when you are in the queue.
What do you think about eSteem ?

ESteem has certainly evolved over the years and is run by a top witness, I trust the fact it is several years old already.

Topic: Tip: Use the tag "busy" if you are using the Busy Interface
This is just a small tip for anyone that use Busy.org for writing posts. If you use #busy as one of your tags, you will get an upvote from the Busy account. It will calculate how much you get by how many vests your followers has, so people with many followers will get a pretty decent upvote. It tends to be worth "sacrificing" one of your tags for.
I think it's limited to once per 24 hour period.

Reply to Tip: Use the tag "busy" if you are using the Busy Interface
On the other side, Busy is taking 10 % of your reward ! so the upvote from busy needs to be bigger than 10 % of the reward.
Busy did not integrated ads in the IU, so you can check your feed without Ads.

If I use the tag #busy but post from another UI I won't get a vote right? Likely not because Busy would not be set as beneficiary, but would like a second opinion.
